Fox News commentator Brit Hume had a lot of compliments for the “shrewdly managed” Cruz campaign that’s all of a sudden jumped to overtake el Trumpo in Iowa polling.

Hume then says that Cruz could be the smartest candidate in the field, and the lightest on his feet, but peaking too early means that Iowans will have an extra long time to focus on him while he’s in the spotlight. Hume insinuates that Cruz’s unpopularity with many in the Senate might hurt his chances, but that completely ignores the anti-Establishment tone of this race. With the popularity of Congress at an all-time low, it might actually help Cruz to be so disliked there.
