Today Ted Cruz wasn’t just pushing his bill to fix the issues at the border, but also to begin cutting spending via House-passed and Trump-backed recision package that amounts to 15 billion dollars.

Cruz points out that it took 41 presidents to accrue 5 trillion in debt. But just two presidents later, Bush and Obama, they quadrupled it to 20 trillion.
He says the House has already passed this recession package of 15 billion and the Senate should too, but he’s also realistic about it, saying it’s only a first step. And I’d agree, as 15 billion seems pretty meager based on the standards of spending these days.
