In a somewhat snarky tweet from the good Senator Theodore Cruz of the great state of Tejas, he slaps down the clear bias from CNN over his amendment to the GOP health care bill.
Check it out:
Weird… my search for tweets from CNN mentioning the “so-called Affordable Care Act” turned up no results. https://t.co/fizqTwu9uy https://t.co/hT2GxI3pff
— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) July 13, 2017
He’s criticizing this tweet from CNN:
Ted Cruz’s so-called Consumer Freedom amendment to be included in new health care plan https://t.co/tVdbp7JNOh pic.twitter.com/QuvubJXSyR
— CNN (@CNN) July 13, 2017
And he’s got a good point. Naming legislature in a certain way to maximize the PR on it is a political tradition with a long history. Why are they jabbing at Cruz for doing it when nearly every single politician does it?
Here’s another time they used it:
Mother of so-called Facebook killer says he got to point where he "snapped and turned into a whole different person" https://t.co/VTPK3CZHRa
— CNN (@CNN) April 19, 2017
I mean, that doesn’t even make sense because the scumbag really did kill someone while airing it on Facebook.
Here they call the Republican bathroom bill “so-called”:
NBA says it expects to give 2019 All-Star Game to Charlotte, NC, after partial repeal of so-called bathroom bill https://t.co/PQmvzJNqH2
— CNN (@CNN) April 7, 2017
Again, why? It IS about bathrooms. Why is it “so-called”? Oh maybe because it’s a Republican bill and that’s how you tell your audience that they should look down at it.
Anyway, good for Cruz. He showed the bias without screaming like a baby that he’s a victim of fake news and his entire agenda is being destroyed. But he made his point.
