Ted Cruz: ‘These are some of the darkest 24 hours in nation’s history’

Ted Cruz was on Hannity radio a few minutes ago, weighing in on the same-sex marriage ruling from the Supreme Court today, suggesting that “these are some of the darkest 24 hours in the nation’s history.” He told Sean Hannity that the rulings from both yesterday and today were “naked and shameless judicial activism.”

He also blasted some of the presidential candidates for not having any backbone:

You know what’s striking? How many of the presidential candidates today issues statements the marriage decision that basically said the court has spoken, the issue is over and it’s time to move on. They sounded like Barack Obama.

It was heartbreaking and I have to say I look at some of these folks and think ‘for once could you grow a backbone?’
