Dewhurst ran the most vicious awful campaign I’ve ever seen. He would have done better had he focused his bile on Barack Obama instead of Ted Cruz and the multitude of people who endorsed him like Rubio, DeMint, Toomey, The Tea Party, Glenn Beck, Mark Levin and Sarah Palin. Just a nasty guy. I like “nasty” directed at my enemy, not good people.

  • jdbaird

Yeah! Let’s elect 5 or 6 more like him and get Scary Reid off his high horse.

  • conservative58

We’re pulling for Cruz! Make us proud Texas!

    • tvlgds

      We did it!!!!

  • jaym68

    Texas needs this win…
America needs this win even more.
    GO Ted Cruz!!

lets hold on on the celebrating for now lets assure that he won, then we will throw the big party……..

      • jaym68

So hungry – like so many – for any good news at all… I like that his lead is widening, not dimishing.

        • proudhispanicconservative

I know, its so refreshing to get good news for a change, im over here reloading and reloading the page and his lead is getting bigger, so much for the tea party dead……

          • jaym68

You saw that TheresaAK posted that Cruz has won…

            The bigger picture:
Two months ago, PPP had Dewhurst leading — by 25 points. [A win for Cruz] is arguably the most momentous upset in the brief but successful history of grassroots conservative challenges… – HotAir

            • proudhispanicconservative

1000000000% agree with you its a momentous occasion for all of us, I am proud of my texan patriots…And to Sarah Palin

Cruz is expected to Cruz to victory here in Texas. Dewhurst was as dirty as it gets. It’s actually very sad where Dewhurst took this race. As everyone knows, Cruz’ popularity was his reputation as a fighter. Someone that will go in and fight the left but fight the establishment on the right. Well old Dewhurst thought he’d say, while speaking to a VFW lodge, that Cruz can’t be a fighter because he didn’t serve in the military.

    • tvlgds

I don’t even like Dewhurst as Lt Goobernator.

  • Shoot, its really not even a contest, NOBODY in Texas is falling for Dewhurst’s attacks during his smear campaign, and it is laughably pathetic to see him stoop so low to try to get the win. Cruz already has it in the bag even before the election started! Mark my words 😉

  • p m

Fingers crossed for Ted, toes too.

O/T Mark Levin is livid about this topic, which is #5 on Freedomworks’ top ten things happening in Congress this week:
“House/Appointments: The House will be voting on Tuesday to pass S. 679, a bill which would remove over 200 positions from the Senate’s advise-and-consent list. Proponents of the bill, which was introduced by Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, insist that the Senate just has too many nominees to confirm, and that reducing their burden would allow more time to properly vet more important nominees. However, the fact that there are so many appointed positions can be largely attributed to the fact that the government has just grown too large to be manageable. There is a good argument to be made that if the Senate considers the offices in this bill to be unworthy of Senate consideration, some of them should just be eliminated altogether.”

Well, it passed with assists from Boehner and McConnell.
A gift to the MB and other such organizations from Chuck U Schumer?

  • 911Infidel

He’s up by about 4%. Lets hope that the dead don’t vote in Tx and that the evil spirit of LBJ has been cast out.

this is so good to watch a great man on his way to washington……….and I love scoop for posting the results….once again scoop beats everyone….

    • tvlgds

He’s still got to beat the Demonrat, whoever it may be. I’ve never heard of either of these 2!! Haven’t even seen any ads. I guess the Cruz/Dewhurst race has overshadowed them.

      Paul Sadler 114,788 62%

      Grady Yarbrough 69,220 38%

      • jaym68

Texas Dems picked Sadler for US Senate

He supports Øcare, PP clinics, allowing tax cuts for the ‘rich’ to expire…

        Fun Fact:
Texas hasn’t elected a Dem to the U.S. Senate since Lloyd Bentsen in 1988

        • tvlgds

I saw that fun fact earlier and sure hope it holds this time. We cannot have someone like Sadler in there. We’ve GOT to get Cruz!!

          • Martin2717

All Cruz has to do is link this guy to Obama on a consistent basis and in a red state like ours (Texas), he should win the general election.

            • tvlgds

I saw an electoral map on Fox this morning and TX is showing pink–“leaning Romney.” With each illegal, under the table amnesty act of this administration and the refusal to stop the invasion, the state is going to get bluer and bluer.

              • Martin2717

Well….. that’s a concern of mind. This is an issue Perry is soft on.

      • proudhispanicconservative

His senate seat won already, if you notice 114,111 democrats in a state with 13 million people, that tells me that he will be the next great senator from texas.

  • M_J_S

Hey Harry Reid: we’ve got a present for you!

  • anyonebutbarry2012

TY Sarah Palin for endorsing CRUZ!

  • stevenbiot

Man, I’m proud of my fellow Texans!!!

  • wolfveryne

Only the Establishment GOP Party ,, would run such a campaign against a fellow Republican ,, Cruz ,,
Your jig is up ,, your time has past ,, you are “GONE” .
Happy trail to you ,, until We never meet again ,, happy Trails……..

  • Sux to be Rick Perry…
I feel like we dodged a bullet on that one.

    • poljunkie

I think it was Gov Palin who said yesterday, that after a win everyone would or could still be friends and go on to save our Country.

      Thats class.

      • Hey Rick !
        No hard feelings, man.
        Politics ain’t bean bag… 🙂

We have only begun to fight!

  • PicklePlants

I think I’m moving to Texas!

    • proudhispanicconservative

Me too and thats from someone from florida

    • Joe W.

I moved here to Texas a year an a half ago from California. Night vs. Day, and that is the truth…..

      • tvlgds

Oh hell yeah! I lived in TX before, spent 13 1/2 yrs in CA and couldn’t WAIT to get back to TX! About the time Gray Davis got elected as goobernator, I knew it was time to get out. Up till then we had Rep. governors which surprised me for such a liberal state with useless Senators.

  • StandProudNow

    Another win for Sarah Palin!

    Palin Power -Yeah, Babe!!

  • proudhispanicconservative

Establishment we the tea party are on to all of you, you better make sure you are on the right side of the issue or you are going to be the next dewhurst we have to keep this going, next up is to elect every single tea party candidate.

    • NoToTyrants

      Amen…my friend!

  • anyonebutbarry2012

    Sarah Palin
Congratulations to Ted Cruz! This is a victory both for Ted and for the grassroots Tea Party movement. This primary race has always been about the kind of leadership we need in D.C. Our goal is not just about changing the majority in the Senate. It is about the kind of leadership we want. Ted Cruz represents the kind of strong conservative leadership we want in D.C. Go-along to get-along career politicians who hew the path of least resistance are no longer acceptable at a time when our country is drowning in debt and our children’s futures are at stake. The message of this race couldn’t be clearer for the political establishment: the Tea Party is alive and well and we will not settle for business as usual. Now, it’s on to November!

    from Sarah’s fb page

    • NoToTyrants

      Fantastic statement by Sarah.

Thank you Governor Palin for all your support and help getting Mr. Cruz nominated.

  • Linky1

    God Bless Texas!

On to other states with Tea Party Candidates-let’s hope Allen West can sail to victory in his new district. These are the kind of people Washington needs more than ever.

  • keninil

Hey Dewhurst can still run in CD 29, there is not R candidate against “Gene” Green. $25M should get him the seat !

    • marketcomp

Man, I guess Gov. Rick Perry really wants to get rid of Dewhurst!

  • Sober_Thinking

    AMEN!!! God is good!!!

I said it before and I’ll say it again… “The Tea Party is the most powerful political party in the U.S.!” And we prove it again, and again, and again, and…

    • jaym68

Wonder how long it will take the ‘establishment’ to figure this out… their future may well depend on it.

  • proudhispanicconservative

The Ted cruz win was not the only win for the tea party in texas, , Steve Stockman,Randy Weber are all backed by the tea party but one of the most impressive wins was by Donna Campbell who beat Jeff Wentworth who had been in the legislature for 40 years…….

    • toongoon

      Campbell-Wentworth was extremely impressive 66%-34%

      • tvlgds

I’m really glad Campbell won too.

      • proudhispanicconservative

        extremely impressive…..

  • poljunkie

    Good for him!

  • tvlgds

Woohooo!!! Hallefrickinglujah!!! And the liberals only WISH the Tea Party was dead!

  • Joe

It will be interesting to see how the MSM plays this

How will they get around this one?

Sarah Palin without a doubt – Has the power!

    I’m stoked –

    You stoked?

  • deTocqueville1

Great victory for Texas and the Tea Party. Wonderful work by Levin, DeMint, Santorum and all the supporters. A special thanks to that oh so irrelevant Sarah Palin! The Revolution continues.

  • Nukeman60

I just read a Breitbart .com article that sums it up pretty well: “The sleeping giant is awake. Spring cleaning isn’t just for spring.”

As a commentor said, “I love the smell of napalm in the morning”.

Go Cruz. Go Texas. Go Tea Party. On to November.

    • keyesforpres

It’s not bad in the evening either!

  • Martin2717

Congrats, Cruz! One of the easier decisions to make when it came to voting for you, today.

  • toongoon

Now we have to watch the GOP, they might support the Democrat in the general.

    • NoToTyrants

I realize you were being a little tongue and cheek, but never underestimate the treachery of the GOPe. While they won’t overtly support the Democrat, they will quietly behind the scenes undermine or try to co-opt Cruz.

They perceive Cruz as more a threat to their power than the Democrat. They will sic the usual suspects of alleged “Conservative” pundits on Cruz. Just like in the Presidential primary, when these pundits tor down every Conservative candidate, like the good GOPe attack dogs they are, they will subtlety and not so subtlety take digs at Cruz.

      • Nukeman60

We will shed light on them every time they do, and we will watch the cockroaches scurry. When they are revealed, they can’t fool the general population anymore.

What they fear the most is the wrath of the voter. Life gets tough for them from here on out, not for us.

        • NoToTyrants

      • toongoon

You pretty much stated what I meant.

  • A 12 point difference, with 84.2% reporting. Wow.

  • nibblesyble

  • “We The People” ousted another RIONO. High Fives For Taxe!

  • I want to congratulate Ted Cruz for this great electoral victory !! As well as all the great grass roots Tea Party folks that made this victory possible, and not just for Ted Cruz and Texas, but for America’s future in the restoration of this great nation back to a US Constitutional Republic, once again.

We the average ordinary patriotic American People will win this fight against those forces who seek to pollute, corrupt, bankrupt, and destroy America and the US Constitution, be they Obama and his radical anti-American Obamacrats or the Big govt progressive GOP Establishment anti-Conservative RINOs like Dewhurst, McCain, Boehner, etc..

  • MiketheMarine

Lovely. A TEA Party Senator. Now, we only need about 50 more
