‘They are sadly weak’ – Trump bashes McCain, Graham statement on immigration ban

President Trump assailed the statement put out by Senators McCain and Graham from his twitter account.

Notice he calls them former presidential candidates, probably meant as a snub, huh?

Here’s part of the statement they released:

“Ultimately, we fear this executive order will become a self-inflicted wound in the fight against terrorism,” they said in a statement, adding that the United States should not stop green card holders “from returning to the country they call home.”

“This executive order sends a signal, intended or not, that America does not want Muslims coming into our country. That is why we fear this executive order may do more to help terrorist recruitment than improve our security,” said McCain, of Arizona, and Graham, of South Carolina.

That sounds a lot like what McCain said this morning, which we posted here.

Apparently there are 15 Republicans who have spoken out against the Muslim immigration ban:

I have a feeling Trump is hoping that the courts strike this down so that he can say that he tried to fulfill his campaign promise and the media and the liberals wouldn’t let him. That’ll rile up his base even more.

On the other hand, if this is really how he’s going to govern, we’re gonna have a bad tiiiime. This barely affects a few hundred thousand immigrants from those countries – imagine how badly he’s going to coordinate the deportation of millions of illegal aliens…
