“They will be thanking me!” – Trump defends decision to oust James Comey

Trump is defending his decision to fire Comey yesterday, taking on his critics on Twitter and explaining how they had lost confidence in Comey but now are pretending to be sad about his firing:

Even Lindsey Graham isn’t sad to see Comey go:

I thought Trump should have fired Comey a long time ago. I think it’s exactly the right decision, although he should have done it back in January when his administration started.

Trump also went after Richard Blumenthal for crying about Comey:

And just a few minutes ago he defended himself against a CNN report that alleges that Roger Stone was pressuring Trump to fire Comey, pointing out that he hasn’t spoken to Stone in a long time and he had nothing to do with it:
