This exchange between Trey Gowdy and Rod Rosenstein is amazing… – [VIDEO]

This exchange between Trey Gowdy and Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein is amazing. Gowdy first points out that the very reason why a special counsel is needed is because of a conflict of interest. He then goes through the litany of examples of conflicts of interest among those who work for Mueller and those in the FBI.

Gowdy then puts a question to Rosenstein as to how he should address his constituents back home when they ask what the heck is going on with this investigation.

Watch:

I really enjoyed listening to Gowdy make a serious case for why this investigation seems rife with conflicts of interests. But then on the other hand, I was impressed with Rosenstein’s answer back to Gowdy. He was very firm about the high standard to which he believes the investigation is being held.

Honestly, I’m still full of doubts about this ‘high standard’ especially after what we’ve learned recently. I really want to believe Rosenstein as he seems to be, from what little I know, a standup guy at the DOJ. If he weren’t such a guy, then I think Jeff Sessions would have told Trump not to appoint him to the position. So while I am full of doubts, it’s still my hope that this investigation is run without bias until its conclusion.
