“This is not fantasy land” – Romney slams Obama’s naivete and faulty judgement on Russia

Normally I don’t really care what Romney has to say in the aftermath of the 2012 elections, however in this case I am very interested in it. America needs to see what a big mistake they made and they simply can’t hear about it enough. Romney was right on Russia in 2012 and Obama was blatantly wrong, as were those in his administration like Hillary Clinton.

This morning Romney hit the president pretty hard on his naivete and faulty judgement on Russia, suggesting it amounted to ‘fantasy land’:

The President’s naivete with regard to Russia and his faulty judgement about Russia’s intentions and objectives has led to a number of foreign policy challenges that we face and unfortunately, not having anticipated Russia’s intentions, the president wasn’t able to shape the kinds of events that may have been able to prevent the kinds of circumstances that you’re seeing in Ukraine as well as things that you’re seeing in Syria.

We really need to understand that Russia has very different interests than ours. This is not fantasy land, this is reality where they are a geopolitical adversary. They’re not our enemy, but they are certainly an adversary on the world stage.

Romney goes on to hammer both Obama and Hillary by pointing out they’ve failed to be effective leaders by not understanding what Russia was about and taking actions to prevent this move into the Ukraine from happening.
