Mark Levin was livid when he found out that Congress has been in secret talks to figure out how to exempt themselves from Obamacare. And he’s not buying either Boehner or Reid’s statements today to the contrary. In short, Levin says they got caught and you should be furious. And while he made clear he’s not advocating or encouraging this, he said it’s this kind of thing that revolutions are made out of.

    I’m SHOCKED…….not….

  • http://cfp4us.org/ AmericanborninCanada

I thought everyone figured the government would try and keep their Cadillac plans.  Since when aren’t they telling everyone else what to do while doing their own damned thing.
    As I mentioned in a tweet earlier, but to elaborate. I’m not near learned enough in the Constitution, but it seems to me, that while they did pass this unConstitutional health “care” monstrosity, Article 1, section 8 states, The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises , to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
Would the term “shall be uniform” not include government employees of the people?  Will people please wake up and acknowledge that the government is our employee??
“If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.”
    Samuel Adams
“Man will ultimately be governed by God or by tyrants.”
    Benjamin Franklin
“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government — lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.”
    Patrick Henry

    • Laurel A

AmericanborninCanada I do believe your Franklin quote is attributable to William Penn…heck maybe Franklin got it from him since it is the same state.

“Man who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants.”~William Penn

Notice in our society the biggest tyrants are always the most Godless.

      • http://cfp4us.org/ AmericanborninCanada

Laurel A AmericanborninCanada It could be Laurel. I don’t know. Many sites I have have it attributed it to Franklin, but either way, It’s a true statement and your point is excellent.

AmericanborninCanada Listened to Mark the other night and wanted to call and ask why he continues to support the GOP. Maybe, just maybe, he’s at the end of the road with them. I pray so.

njmom AmericanborninCanada I’m gonna try leaving a message on his facebook again.  Anyone who wants real change in course should do likewise.  We need him.

  • Laurel A

It’s bad enough to be betrayed by Democrats who say they are for the ‘little guy’ but it is insult to injury to be further betrayed by Republicans who we elected to repeal it. Republicans could actually bring the government to a grinding halt shut down if they had the courage. And Levin is right Boehner and Ryan have done nothing to stop this so they too will have blood and death on their hands.
And I don’t know Mark…maybe we do need another revolution.

“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure.”~Thomas Jeffereson

    • Orangeone

Laurel A Perfect post and quote!

      • Laurel A

        Orangeone Laurel A Thank you.

  • Proudhispanicconservative

Another classic rant by Mark Levin,”John Boehner you are a pathetic disgrace” of course I say that with all due respect. On another note I received a call from the GOP from a 000-000-0000 number and I asked the lady “what possible reason can you give me that would motivate me to donate to you guys? ….. All she got from me was an earful, but of course I also said to her with all due respect.

    • Laurel A

Proudhispanicconservative Me too. GOP is bad to call and ‘ask your opinion’ or send junk or emails in that vain but really don’t care about your opinion and just want money.

      • Proudhispanicconservative

Unfortunately that is so true, Ted Cruz has raised my standards as far as me donating again to anything republican, the next person I donate to will have to come from the same mold as Ted.

Runaway Slave is a great movie by a fellow Louisianian. A Baptist? Minister who used to head the NAACP here abouts I think. His name escapes me at the moment. But he is on Hannity sometimes.

    • Orangeone

MiltonBassHayek I love Mark but I would like to see the revolution headed by none other than Allen West.

Laurel A Yeah Paul Ryan’s shining moment for me was when he showed the president and america how big and how many pages obamacare is at that public meeting with Republicans. After that I can’t really remember anything else that stands out..

    • Orangeone

Laurel A Rand Paul is coming up right behind those two.  He made a HUGE drone comment mistake the other day that has resulted in a lot of lashback. That along with his pro-illegal alien amnesty will be his downfall.

      • Proudhispanicconservative

He earned the majority of his conservative credentials in one day, and lost it all in one day as well.

        • Orangeone

Proudhispanicconservative Yes he did.  I stood with him during the filibuster even though his stance on illegals is unacceptable.  I had hoped Ted Cruz and Mike Lee took him behind the woodshed for a lesson on the Constitution but doesn’t look that way.

I’m ready, willing, and able if anyone else is.  I’ve had it with this bunch, especially Republicans who claim to stand for things I stand for but don’t quite has the cajones to vote that way.

      • E Lee Zimmerman

njmom E Lee Zimmerman I’m all-in for revolution.

  • TinaG123

I thought Obamacare was so great, so why would any of them that VOTED for it want to be exempt from the law. I am pretty sure liberals are in denial about Congress wanting to exempt themselves from the law.

  • njmom

Congress, especially the GOP has just written their political obituaries. This will be difficult to backtrack from because as Mark said they were caught.
We’re going to have to band together and do something to make them notice but what I’m unsure. They have to hear our voices and we’re going to have to make sure they do.

  • toongoon

    Useless cowards.

    • E Lee Zimmerman

toongoon You had ‘em at ‘useless.’

    • njmom

toongoon My husband just about said the same but I’m starting to believe its more than cowardice. I think other than a few policy views the 2 parties are more alike than different.

      • toongoon

        njmom
The ruse of the two party system is to keep us just enough pacified so we don’t knock down the walls of the Capitol building, otherwise you’re right, there is no difference.

      • Donny Blackmore

njmom toongoon You just took the words right out of my mouth mom. This country still consists of two parties though, the American People and the Government and the American People are slowly losing what belongs to them. And the Government is taking what belongs to us and pretty soon that wont consist of much.

  • Orangeone

Not only should they all be on the exchanges and pay for it, they should be first, joined by everyone on welfare for 10 years so the impacts can be properly studied.

  • steprock

Guys, why keep getting mad and doing nothing? We can’t organize and demand a return to the Constitution without leaders.

That team will turn this country around and kick the terrorists and illegal aliens the hell out and restore our Constitutional Republic in 1 term!

  • PoCoTex

It’s absolutely clear to me that the morphing of all politicians in Washington, DC, into Soviet Union-style governing is complete. With the tyranny of the IRS, the EPA, the Presidency, and now Congress, your totalitarian leaders are fully in place. Sadly, it is all force-funded by your own labour.
We’re being forced to pay for our own tyranny.

We need another 1956 Hungary. Just watch out for the Soviet tanks.

    • PoCoTex

As a follow-up to my mentioning 1956 Hungary, here’s a quote from Schaffer’s How Should We Then Live:
“I’ll never forget the day–November 4, 1956–when Hungary was taken over. Listening in Switzerland to my shortwave radio, I heard the students repeatedly pleading in the English language for help, hoping the outside world would listen. I have a newspaper picture of one of the girls arrested in Hungary. It is a portrait of a lovely Hungarian girl on trial. Her name was Ilond Troth. She was hanged in July 1957. I keep her picture to remember: ‘Forget the past and you will lose both eyes.'”

PoCoTex “We will bury you without firing a shot.”

  • http://cfp4us.org/ WolfieUSA

What an excellent, informative, inspiring and heart felt rant!  God bless you Mark!  Never ever change!!!

  • Donny Blackmore

Unfortunately the people who reside in the United States Of America
don’t want change. What we are viewing now is the “New Generation” of
young adults who basically want to be taken care of. There not interested in running businesses or working hard. and the politicians know that. Half of this country couldn’t care less if Congress is exempt from Obamacare and that’s the honest truth. What you are viewing now is a total break down of everything this country was founded on and Barack Hussein Muslim Obama is actually thrilled to see all this decay take place. Both him and his wife basically hate this country and it’s very obvious. This country is so screwed and it’s only going to get worse, that’s what scary. Some of these politicians can’t seem to bring themselves to retire which means we have to wait until they either drop dead or come up with some irreversible illness to place them in a hospital bed. The old bastards don’t want to give up there perks and retire leaving the American to suffer with there aging ways.

    • Micawber

Donny Blackmore What you say makes me sad and angry.  I pray to God this country isn’t that lost.

      • Donny Blackmore

Micawber Donny Blackmore Micawber I’m sorry but, years of lying to myself has taken it’s toll on me and I don’t recognize the United States of America anymore and what it once stood for. It’s become very unfamiliar to the human eye.

        • Donny Blackmore

Micawber It’s now become a  “Melting Pot” of non patriotic people who don’t careif it lives or dies.

        • Micawber

Donny Blackmore Micawber I see a lot of what you speak of – but I live in Boston.  I suppose I was hoping that other parts of this country had held onto something more from the past.  I wrote my senior honors thesis 20 years ago, a 400 page monstrosity, predicting much of this and was roundly abused by my professors.  Bitterness can creep in – and so can cynicism.  I know that well Donny.  Once Buckley asked Muggeridge, “well what should we do?”  Muggeridge answered:  “we have to make islands of holiness and keep vigil.”  Or, as T.S. Eliot said, “put our own lands in order.”

        • Donny Blackmore

Micawber Donny Blackmore Believe it or not the only part of the country that is holding steadfast is the Heartlands and even that is  changing slowly but surely. States like MA, NY, CT, CA, WA are to far gone and there is very little the country can do to repair them.

        • famouswolf

You mention WA. What is truly disheartening is that here and elsewhere most of the state is still red white and blue, as Sarah Palin would say. It is one or two counties that keep sending quisling fools to DC. The rest of us? Call it tyranny by democracy and fraud.
In any event I believe we will indeed see how many Americans are left. Soon.

        • Donny Blackmore

famouswolf All you have to do is walk down a city street and you will come to realize that most “True Americans” have aged and left us which saddens me a great deal. WWI, WWII, Korean War. • PoCoTex

Donny Blackmore  What you’re really suffering from is watching, almost helplessly, the disintegration of one of the most wonderful examples in history of freedom and of individualism.
Don’t forget that what Americans have had, up until recently, is exceptional. (That’s what I like to mean when I say American exceptionalism.) Tyranny is typical of man. For ourselves, we see it in our federal government, our state governments, academia, and the media.
Up until recently, we have fought tyranny – Nazism, Soviet Communism – vigorously. But those who have hated America are now part of its critical institutions.
One of them boasted in his campaign for office that he wanted to fundamentally transform America. We are finding out now what that he meant by that: tyranny.

I am a deeply conservative Messianic (Christian) and grew up being proud of my country and of the people who built it. I am still proud of it. Its people are the most magnificent and most generous people in the world.

To see that being torn apart by politicians and government employees who see themselves as masters of the U.S. rather than its servants makes me drop my head in sadness.

very selfish in there way of thinking and feel they’re owed something. How can you hold the country together when nobody knows the definition of what a Country is. The politicians are very shrewd and know 1/2 the country isn’t working with both barrels. They welcome it.

Donny Blackmore 57thunderbird As much as it pains me to say it,I agree.Today the American people seem to think that freedom means, freedom from working, freedom from responsibility, and personal accountability.Freedom from the struggle of every day life.America is teetering on the edge of the precipice.

      • PoCoTex

Donny Blackmore 57thunderbird  I agree, too. Since many Americans have little knowledge of American history, they have no idea how their freedoms were acquired and at what cost. In many wars, hundreds of thousands of American men and women gave up their lives so that their fellow Americans would stay free.
Patrick Henry of Virginia said, “Give me liberty or give me death!”
New Hampshire’s motto is “Live Free or Die.”

        • 57thunderbird

PoCoTex Donny Blackmore 57thunderbird That’s a sad fact.Freedom is not Free!It costs a lot of blood and treasure!

        • http://cfp4us.org/ AmericanborninCanada

57thunderbird PoCoTex Donny Blackmore Amen yes it does.  Damn it it’s time to tell the rest of the people that!  We have got to tell our friends and neighbors about the founding of this country! We’ve got to show them where their rights come from, and what freedom really is! It;s NOT FREAKING FREE STUFF!
I’m sorry, dont mean to rant on you guys- but we need to educate people.

    • gsmith_62

57thunderbird “usurp for themselves the reins of government” … seems this started with 60’s radicals taking over universities and inculcating a generation of “elites”.  How many pols take their oath to the Constitution seriously?
Then again, “an oath”, as though there are even a plurality of pols in DC I’d trust as far as I could throw a piano.

  • notebene

I bet Pelosi finally read the bill and found out her botox injections aren’t covered!  Pathetic how these elitist drones shoved this poorly written piece of pork fat down our throats and think we are going to let them have the elitist coverage on our dime!  All of them are millionaires and can afford their own policies…they are public servants, not royalty!  The level of hypocrisy seems to have not bounds with this dreadful crew.

    • Donny Blackmore

notebene Stretch Pelosi is another one that needs to retire but won’t because she likes the power. The sight of her makes me sick. I’m hoping one day her plastic surgeon stretches the back of her head over her face and mouth and silences her for good.

  • clubgitmo

I read this on Mark’s twitter feed this morning and needless to say I was in a rotten mood. I truly believe we NEED a revolution to sort out the good from bad in this country. This country is going to self implode if we, the people do not take back this country. It will be lost forever. I am going to quit the GOP and register as an independant. I am so done with both of this parties who are nothing but lying pieces of garbage. I’m done and not taking it any more.

  • steprock

Pardon me, but so what? Did Mark quit the GOP in protest? Did you?
Did he actually do anything? Will you?
No. He’ll rant on the radio and you’ll vent an angry comment. This is not what starts revolutions. I know because we’ve already missed a hundred better chances than this.

    • magi52

steprock Mark’s law firm has filed many lawsuits against illegal actions of 0bama and his administration. The last won they won was 0bama’s so called ‘recess appointments’ of the NLRB. They had made over 300 decisions by the time the court handed down that they were illegal appointments making ALL of their decisions null and void.
Mark Levin does a LOT more than just talk.

      • steprock

Yes, he does. Thanks for the reminder. Perhaps I should as what the rest of us are supposed to do.

    • cabensg

steprock 100 and counting that’s for sure. I’m still in total amazement at what Americans have tolerated.

    • strangernfiction

steprock Levin is one of the best we have, but he’s not nearly good enough. It is way past time to quit the GOP.

  • cabensg

Yes we need a revolution. Since not everyone who agrees owns a gun and knows how to use it maybe we should use MLK’s example. What ever happen to real protest the kind even the sycophant press can’t ignore.

  • The Sentinel

As much as I detest this (it’s vulger and selfish)… no one should be surprised. Lawlessness, theft, lying, selfishness, etc. have been the new norm under Obama (and to a lesser extent before him). The sheep establishment of the GOP has been trying to cut their loses because they know they are losers and their party is dying, and so, they’ll greedily sop up whatever crumbs they can milk from their master and from us.
Term limits, they all get the same tax rates, medical plans, etc. that are forced on us. Alright, pay them a decent salary as incentive for employment… but make everything else just like We The People. See what gets done then.

  • white531

The problem with the path we are on, is that most Americans are one of two things.  Compliant, or not interested in the first place.  How, exactly, do you plan on going to war against the LIberals, when these types are your foot soldiers?

Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives everything its value.”

      • white531

AmericanborninCanadawhite531 There is no way I can match your eloquence, my Canadian Friend.   Tyranny indeed, is not easily conquered, and Tyranny is all around us right now.
I sometimes look to our Founding Fathers, and try to think what they would do in these current circumstances..  I think they would behave quite  differently.
Harry Reid would be given two week’s notice and be stripped of his Senate retirement.  He would have to suffer Obamacare just like all the rest of us.  We might even take away his guns.
Nancy Pelosi would be invited to retire, under duress, and prohibited from any further plastic surgery.  This, out of sympathy for the fact that she can no longer close her eyes right now as it is.
Obama would be offered early retirement and a teaching post at some obscure junior college in  Mississippi, and denied, ever again, the use of a teleprompter.  All appropriate medication to be provided to help him with the withdrawal symptoms associated with that particular disease.
Holder would lose his license to practice law, and would wind up driving a garbage truck, something he was qualified for when he first began his career.  It  is expected he will be happy with that arrangement, because that’s all he wanted out of life in the first place, and he never liked being Obama’s gopher in the first place.
Out of sympathy for his illness, Chris Matthews will be provided with a room in his home, that looks like a real studio, complete with cameras and a microphone and stage lighting.  Every attempt will be made, to make the experience seem as real as possible. Given Chris’s grasp on reality, it shouldn’t he that hard to pull it off.
This would be current reality, if only we had the Wisdom of our Founding Fathers.  A guy can dream, can’t he?

        • http://cfp4us.org/ AmericanborninCanada

white531AmericanborninCanada I’m so sorry my sweet whitefriend, but you lost me at “for the fact that she can no longer close her eyes..”

How many people do you know who probably have only a high school education that make that kind of money in this Obama Economy?  So who did I really insult?   All the garbage truck drivers are laughing.

white531 ….and then there is the comfortably numb.

    • wallwatchman

It sure seems like it, doesn’t it! I don’t really believe its most Americans though. Maybe close to half, at the high end, and sure, with Obama, he’s sucking more in by the minute. But the other half, folks like me, you and the great commenters on this site, it’s definitely the not being interested reason. Look at all our great conversations and passion on here! Lol. So compliant wouldn’t describe us.
I don’t know about you all, but I’m discouraged! I’m tired, and I’m angry! I care. Very much so. I want to help fix things but our normal way of doing that doesn’t seem to work anymore. I vote. I call. I write and email. I went to rallies, town halls, marched at D.C. They don’t listen anymore. They answer my questions with doublespeak. They kick their conservative beliefs to the curb, after they’ve conned me into believing their conservative! I’m tired of being lied to. I’m tired of my reps chucking what’s good for the country so they can be liked by dems and the media, so they can keep their cushy job, or whatever the reasons are. I’m tired of hanging on by my fingernails, worrying if my four boys will even have a job when the time comes, and these “servants of the people” serve themselves!
What do we do?! What actions can we take when the place is corrupt! When we’ve been told, vote, make your voice heard, that’s how it’s done with we the people, but your gov doesn’t give a rip about the people anymore. They don’t need our votes. They’ll just cheat and lie to get in. And if that doesn’t work, oh well, they’re wealthy enough from all their deals with friends, years of “gov service”, they’ll be ok anyway!
Sorry, rambling too much here tonight. Just wanted ya to know, we do care. Just don’t know what to do anymore or where to even start! Wow, am I a party pooper tonight or what! Lol.

      • applepie101

wallwatchman You express the feelings of many of us. The system penalizes honest, industrious citizens, and rewards corruption. We’re dealing with a cancer, and treatment of a cancer can be painful, but we have to bite the bullet. Republicans will treat conservatives with contempt as long as conservatives keep voting for them. When conservatives pull support away from the GOP and invest it in a third party, that’s the big parties get nervous.

        • white531

applepie101 wallwatchman Your words are golden, and you knew that when you wrote them.  Don’t lose faith.  This may be a sinking ship, but we are plugging the holes as fast as we can.

      • white531

wallwatchman Actually watchman, you weren’t rambling at all.  I think you pretty much nailed it.

      • http://cfp4us.org/ AmericanborninCanada

wallwatchman Amen my friend. You echo most of us here I imagine. at least you do echo my thoughts.  The only thing I can think of- and people will not like it or they’ll laugh, but it is up to those of you who are citizens to run for office. Seriously.  We don’t have a chance for voting the gop, and while I’d love to have CFP off the ground with Constitutional Conservative candidates and backing from folks like Mark Levin, It’s not happening yet and 2014 is right around the corner.

    • JohnCraven

white531, there was an ex-communist and immigrant from Argentina who called Rush’s show today and was very insightful about where we are heading as a nation and as a people. The transcript of the show is at http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2013/04/25/immigrant_we_don_t_want_to_turn_america_into_the_same_crappy_place_we_came_from but I think Rush has also provided audio of the show for the public which you would only be able to hear normally if you were a 24/7 subscriber to Rush.

  • Freedomswatch

Can I just say a quick “Thank you Senator Cruz!”  It was his office that was putting pressure on Boehner to stop any behind the scene capitulation. Is it too early to say Cruz for President?

    • JohnCraven

Senator Ted Cruz is a truly great leader and far better than the leaders of the party he is currently affiliated with.
I wish Senator Ted Cruz would either go Independent Conservative or become affiliated with an alternative conservative party. I would join such a party in a heartbeat.  I left the Democrat party back in 1992 when Clinton was nominated and joined the GOP but I am totally disgusted with the Big Whigs of the GOP.  They represent the ruling elites AND the Democrats more than they represent ordinary Americans.
The Democrats can’t do any of what they are doing without the collusion of the GOP leadership AND their consultants.  Clearly, the Big Whigs in the GOP are being paid off by the Democrats and Big Government special interests.
I keep asking myself how long will Mark Levin keep clinging to the GOP as if it can be resurrected?  This party is over with and we need to stop pretending it can be saved.  We’re just wasting time, effort, energy and money trying to save the GOP when we should be spending our resources on creating a new alternative conservative party based on our nation’s founding principles and Ronald Reagan’s vision of America.

Thank you AmericanborninCanada. I will look into it.
In the meantime, I would like to pose something to you and the others here and that is let’s create a virtual online alternative conservative party.  I like the idea of calling it something like the American Conservative Party but American Constitution Party is okay too.  And have the Bald Eagle as its symbol.  And have it founded on the founding principles of our nation as embodied in the US Constitution and the Declaration of Independence  and also founded on the vision of Ronald Reagan and George Washington and Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin and others of like minds.  And we can pick candidates in each of the states whom we would like to see run for office – maybe like a fantasy football league but for politics.
I see such a virtual party as a way of associating us online with the purpose of supporting conservative candidates whereever they may be found in the 50 states.
Does that make any sense to you?
          John Craven – New Orleans

Come November, will Mark yell at us again to hold our noses and vote for the GOPe candidate? Or is he beginning to realize that the GOP is effectively a branch of the democrat party?

    • K-Bob

applepie101  What is it with people pretending they are ahead of Levin on this stuff?  Clearly you don’t listen to his show if you make “beginning to realize” statements.

      • applepie101

K-Bob applepie101 I’ve listened long enough (since March 2011) to have heard him make the same complaints about republicans colluding with democrats many times, only to seemingly forget about it and support those republicans involved (mainly Romney, Ryan and Rubio.) If he understands that the party is corrupt, why is he urging us to support it? Is that going to improve our situation?

And yes, I do reserve the right to criticize Mark Levin when I think he is wrong.

        • TIMERUNNERSC

we only have two parties to vote for Dems or Repubs. I will vote for a republican in a second. Fact is we need to stay focused on who we think maybe conservative. If we vote in 10 conservitives and only 7 really are then that is a plus x 7. With these numbers American conservitives can overwhelm congress and senate. there are no other peaceful solutions.
The 3rd party idea as a whole isn’t possible, to many drowns on both sides.

        • applepie101

You must do what you think is right, but I will vote for a 3rd party.

This same outrage should apply to the “separate” pension plan they participate in that is worlds above social security, along with the current separate Medical coverage they also have. Now this, who is surprised. It is time that people who SERVED US are not entitled to greater benefits then the people they serve. LET’S CALL FOR TERMINATION of all these “SPECIAL PRIVILEDGES” for elected officials. And, let the American people set the pay rate and raises of OUR EMPLOYEES.

  • gsmith_62

This gov’t is on auto-pilot.  Every expansion is doubled down by the next administration.  Bush doubles the deficit, then Obama doubles Bush’s worst.
To the TSA is added ObamaRxCare.  To TARP, add Solyndra. To Lehmnan Bros add GM.
To stupidity is added the reelection of Obama.

  • mikeinidaho

Write all your reps in DC and demand that they disavow ANY effort to exempt themselves unless and until they exempt ALL of us from Obama’s communist medical plan. • GordonHilgers

PaulLeslie —  Would you believe that the use of the term, “czars” has nothing at all to do with either Russia, the Communists, or the Soviet Union?  It’s just an informal term we’re using to describe the high-level officials in charge of policy.
As for the Russian “czars”, the term is Russian for “ceasar” and is how Russian royalty was described.  The Bolsheviks in 1917 overthrew Czar Nicholas and had his entire family murdered.
Glenn Beck seems to be at the bottom of this xenophobic fear-mongering.  If bureaucracies are something to hate, by the way, I’ve worked for a couple of the big insurance companies, and by far they have the most inept bureaucracies–ever!

      • white531

GordonHilgers PaulLeslie Gordon, why are there some black people in this country who get the idea of Freedom, and so many like you, who don’t?  Black people in this country right now have about as much equality as they are ever going to get.  Because of political correctness, they have more rights than all of us hated white folks.  Black people in this society can get away with anything.  All they have to do is pull the race card. Bingo!  Everyone backs off.  It is ridiculous on it’s very surface that a single race, of all the ethnic peoples who make up the the United States of America, should have so much power.  What, because you were slaves?  Get over it!   Slavery was ended over a hundred years ago, in case you haven’t  noticed.

I don’t know about the rest of you – but this Liberals against Conservatives shit is OLD, and a great way to make sure we stay divided.  HOW IN THE HELL DO GROWN PEOPLE THINK THE DEMONIZING THE OTHER SIDE IS HELPFUL???  For God’s sake, When Bush was in office he did quite a bit that  was bad for this country and OF COURSE Dems had their opinions, this is a merry-go-round that continues because WHOEVER ends up in office is always going to be scrutinized by the party that didn’t win.  But all this HATEFUL, society as we know it will cease to exist as we all plummet straight to a life of a hellish dictatorship is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.  So Obamacare AS IT IS may need a bit of revision – but something has to be done!  I work in Healthcare….IT SUCKS. PERIOD. As with so many other things….it’s corrupt.  We need to fix it.  PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD YOU EXTREMIST FEAR MONGERING, BITCHING AND WHINING SIMPLETONS – BE THE SOLUTION NOT PART OF THE PROBLEM – I’M TALKING TO LIBERALS AND CONSERVATIVES WHO HAVE NARROW-MINDED EXTREME VIEWS.  EVERY GENERATION TALKS LIKE THE END IS NEAR!!  GET OVER YOURSELVES.

MelissaWalter “A bit of revision??” Is there a low O2 concentration where you are??
Aside from the fact that it is completely unmanageable, there is the Govt. track record to consider. They are incapable of managing ANYTHING competently. Ever heard of Social Security? You know, that fund that was supposed to have been invested and self sustaining??? Now, its a line item on the budget, because the money was misappropriated and spent.
There are some things that one cannot compromise, and ideology is one of them. Liberals live in a fantasy, and i do not choose to compromise with them.

      • MelissaWalter

ScottMcKay MelissaWalter You make my point for me.  “Liberals” live in a fantasy.  I have heard some pretty ridiculous stuff from Conservatives as well.  I’m not disagreeing that we need to clean house – I think the Government AS A WHOLE needs to remember that they work for US.  Cut out all these special privileges.  What I’m sick of is this idea that ALL Republicans are somehow wiser, more educated on the reality of what is going on – meanwhile the poor Democrats are just too stupid to know to get out of the rain.  We  love working OUR asses off and then turning all of our money over to help pay for the “lazy good for nothing people who want to stay on welfare and live off the rest of us”.  Give me a break – WHO REALLY WANTS TO GIVE THEIR MONEY TO PEOPLE WHO DON’T WANT TO WORK??  I want to help people who CAN’T help themselves, that’s all. I want the government to start over with welfare, immigration and all the other non-functioning programs/departments.  If you live here you have to pay your share.  It really isn’t that hard.  From a Liberal perspective the Republicans seem greedy, self serving, arrogant, and hypocritical because as much as they scream about less government they sure don’t mind involving government into our PERSONAL lives.  I have friends on both sides of the fence and MOST of them agree on MOST topics – it’s these fringe people that seem to get all the media attention.  I feel certain that the Liberals you speak of are not as dense and “Utopian bound” as you might think.  And I would hope that similarly you don’t sit around discussing “legitimate rape” and a woman’s uncanny ability to halt a pregnancy just be sheer will:)

        • ScottMcKay

MelissaWalterScottMcKayThe liberals in positions of power have their heads so far up their nether regions, the don’t know what the weather is.
The ONE thing that I felt good about Clinton for (overhauling welfare) Obama just undid. Our Immigration doesn’t need any adjustment…it needs ENFORCEMENT!
Try reading this, and get back to me…and the author has no political ax to grind…he just calls it as he sees it…

I think Kirsten Powers, a true liberal analyst for FOXNews may have written this article in the USA Today for you: http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2013/04/10/philadelphia-abortion-clinic-horror-column/2072577/
And Conor Friedersdorf may have written the perfect follow-up to Kirsten Powers’ article in The Atlantic and I think it also had your name on it as well: http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2013/04/why-dr-kermit-gosnells-trial-should-be-a-front-page-story/274944/

MelissaWalter Why do liberals throw around the words moderate and compromise like it’s some sort of badge of honor? Context matters. When it comes to principles, being a moderate is a bad thing. When in comes to values compromise is a bad thing. I would rather be somebody of EXTREME integrity than somebody of Moderate integrity. Let me give you an example of when moderation is good. How about a moderately sized government with moderate jurisdiction? But even then it has to be the right kind of jurisdiction. Taking money (or services) from one group of people by force and giving it to another group of people is outside the bounds of any form of government jurisdiction regardless of the need. How can people delegate to there government the authority to do something that they never had the authority to do themselves? If people do not have the right to take away something from one person and give it to another, then how can they delegate that authority to their government? By the way taking away somebody else’s stuff and giving to somebody in need isn’t charity it’s theft. It’s not thoughtful or compassionate either. Anybody can give somebody else’s stuff away.

      MelissaWalter
I’m reminded of our Founding Fathers who thought there were things worth fighting (and dying) for.  Does that qualify as “extremist?”

    • PoncyJeremy

MelissaWalter Dear Melissa. You’re dishonest. You are clearly targeting conservatives with your remarks and not liberals. You’re a hypocrite. Your entire rant is a perfect example of what you yourself describe as the problem. Quit complaining and offer solutions. You clearly have no idea what it is that conservatives stand for. We want debate. We want to be taken seriously but most importantly we want liberals to recognize and acknowledge the massive gap between what our government promises and what they deliver. We have a president and a Senate that preaches the kind of ‘shared sacrifice’ in which they never have to make concessions and we always foot the bill. They never deliver what they promise and until liberals can see that, nothing can possibly get solved. Lastly, if you can’t handle conflict, I suggest you stay out of politics. It’s been like this since the beginning of time and it’s not going to stop simple because it inconveniences or annoys you.

      • MelissaWalter

PoncyJeremy MelissaWalter You know what – maybe I wasn’t clear. Maybe I too got off on a rant.  What I was really trying to point out is that there are some very extremist views on both sides and I wish we could find some middle ground.  Until we do, we cease to function.  There seems to be a marriage between fundamental Christians and Republicans that doesn’t belong – I do have a problem with that.  I’m sure this post could go on into infinity and we could both find Republicans and Democrats alike who have made bad decisions and broken many promises.  I don’t have some rainbows and butterflies view of the world but I also don’t see it as dismal as some.  Again, I have many intelligent discussions with friends who are more conservative than I, and while my leanings are liberal (when it comes to my personal life being intruded upon) I am not in agreement with  some of their liberal positions.  Thanks!

        • PaulLeslie

MelissaWalter PoncyJeremy “Extremist” is a loaded word.  It’s a favorite of the left used to shut down criticism by attacking the opposition – not the particular points of belief, but the individual.
As to middle ground – long ago I took this oath:  I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same. .  .”  Our politicians take a similar oath.
Where is the middle ground in that oath?

        • JeremyPoncy

Did you get a chance to catch the democratic national convention this year? The reason there is a marriage between ‘fundamental christians’, whatever that means, and the republican party isn’t because Christians have abandoned the democratic party but instead because the democratic party has abandoned Christians. Maybe you’re not real well informed but America was founded as and remains to be a Christian nation, in other words its full of Christians and according to the democratic process that we adhere to we deserve the same representation as everybody else. We have a voice too. I’m not sure I understand why you seem to have a problem with Christians being represented in government.

        • JeremyPoncy

And again you’re using buzz words like extremism and middle ground without any context. extremism is not always bad and middle ground is not always good. If you were to ask me where I stand on Hitler killing six million Jews I would tell you that I’m against it I’m extremely against it and there is no middle ground.

You blatently try to miss the point? This crosses every line. Perhaps the aanswer is to force these charletains to try it with their familys and piers first for three years.
We the people whom they work for and whom still have the last say being their employers, MUST PUT OUR FOOT DOWN and demand that they live under their own laws.
This is the most outrageous slap in our faces and shamful display of total disrespect no matter what group you identify with I have EVER SEEN bar none.
If they get away with this one – It is OVER.
