Scott says that Trump needs to sit down with people who experienced the pain of racism from the civil rights struggle in order to regain his moral authority on the subject. This is a good principled middle road between the hysterical extremism of the alt-right, and the hysterical left-wing extremism of liberalism. He’s not saying America is rife with racism the way some leftists do. This is why so many like and admire Tim Scott.
I hope Trump listens to this great advice.
