Tom Cotton, David Perdue say they don’t remember hearing Trump’s ‘sh**hole’ comments

Both Senators Tom Cotton and David Perdue were in the room when Trump apparently made his ‘sh**hole’ comments yesterday. However they claim they don’t remember Trump making these comments, according to CBS News:

“President Trump brought everyone to the table this week and listened to both sides. But regrettably, it seems that not everyone is committed to negotiating in good faith,” they said. “In regards to Senator Durbin’s accusation, we do not recall the President saying these comments specifically but what he did call out was the imbalance in our current immigration system, which does not protect American workers and our national interest. We, along with the President, are committed to solving an issue many in Congress have failed to deliver on for decades.”

Durbin came out this morning and claimed Trump said those comments and more. Jeff Flake also came out and said that Trump used them, but he apparently wasn’t in the actual meeting. He only heard about them right afterward:

I wonder if Durbin told him? LOL

Either way, at this point I don’t think there’s any question that Trump said it, at the very least about Africa. And while he certainly shouldn’t have said it, the outrage by the media really doesn’t match the indiscretion.

Look, Trump said it in a private meeting, but as hot as the outrage is over this you’d think he said it in a public address to the country while threatening to round up Africans or something. For pete’s sake they are saying that Anderson Cooper started crying on-air last night over this.

Seriously, you’d think that Trump was sending the Russians a private message and was caught on a hot mic telling Medvedev to tell Putin “After my election, I have more flexibility” on missile defense.

Yeah, that’s another reason it’s so hard for me to take this media seriously. Do you remember any outrage over that?

I’m not excusing what Trump said, but the media really needs to get a grip and stop wetting itself every time Trump speaks.
