This Top Ten list comes from an article by John Nolte at Breitbart. I’ve shortened the article by removing most of the links. The MSM has been negligent in their duties to speak truth to power. They have abrogated that responsibility when Democrats have the helm in the WH. The only time that the media chirps is when Republicans are in power. On ObamaCare they are AWOL.

Here are the Top Ten reasons why ObamaCare sucks:

1. Millions are and will lose the insurance Obama promised they could keep. Because ObamaCare forces employers to offer expensive Cadillac plans but also offers the option of paying a fine for not providing health insurance that can be cheaper than providing it, between seven and twenty million Americans are likely to lose their health insurance coverage according to the Congressional Budget Office. The original estimate was closer to four million.

2. The cost of healthcare premiums is about to further skyrocket. Premium costs have already exploded, but that is a slow-motion explosion. In the near future, we could see costs double or worse. Naturally, these costs will hit an already burdened middle class hardest.

3. Lost jobs. Lost jobs.

The Federal Reserve’s March beige book on economic activity noted that businesses “cited the unknown effects of the Affordable Care Act as reasons for planned layoffs and reluctance to hire more staff.”

Meanwhile, human resources consulting firm Adecco found that half of the small businesses it surveyed in January either plan to cut their workforce, not hire new workers, or shift to part-time or temporary help because of ObamaCare.

4. Potential doctor shortages that will mean rationing: The healthcare industry is already a bureaucratic quagmire. ObamaCare is about to add steroids. As the profession becomes tyrannized by government, the talented people currently practicing medicine plan to get out sooner than expected. Who knows how many will choose not to get in. Doctor shortages are what lead to the nightmare known as rationed care.

5. Somewhere around $800 billion in tax increases will hit America’s middle class. This added burden will not only further oppress a middle class already reeling from a drop in wages over the last few years, but could damage the overall economy.

6. Inflation, the cruelest tax on the poor. When businesses get socked with added costs brought about by higher taxes and burdensome government mandates, they pass those cost along to the consumer in the form of higher prices.

7. Added bureaucracy. Even those Obama lapdogs over at the Washington Post’s Wonk Blog are admitting that applying for health care is about to get more burdensome than the byzantine paperwork involved in buying a home.

8. To cut costs or to avoid having to provide insurance, workers on the economic margins are already losing hours, which means a lower paycheck. There are a million sad stories in ObamaVille; here are just a few of them.

9. ObamaCare is projected to add $6.2 TRILLION to a deficit the GAO has already declared “unsustainable.” That’s “trillion” with a “t”.

10. More taxes than currently estimated are likely to hit because of situations like this one.

This monstrosity of Euro-socialism must be repealed.

A friend of mine is a Registered Nurse… she says what she is hearing in the medical community is that Obamacare will basically consist of euthanasia and abortion…  And by the time you sit through the waiting period to see a doctor, what could now be easily treated as an out patient will have worsen to the point that it will be a serious condition.  It’s going to be hell people.  Third world health care will look like a dream from the way she talks…

    • Mominnv

louisiana_mom Hubby’s Cadillac plan is now a ford on blocks.

      • louisiana_mom

Mominnv louisiana_mom Sorry to hear it.  Share the misery is all the Progressives know and understand…  Just taking us another step closer to elites and serfs in this country.

        • OneThinDime

We shall be the elites and they will be the serfs and it is their own doing.  Living off the gov’t never ends well.

  • yazz55

The death panels are gonna be real busy denying folks medical care.

  • http://cfp4us.org/ AmericanborninCanada

I can think of the one reason it must be repealed.  A government has no right to intrude themselves in our lives in such a personal way.  They have no right to take control of one of the biggest parts of the private sector.  They have no right to dictate what others must purchase or tax for, when they are exempt along with their friends.  America is a Constitutional Republic.  Not a banana republic.  Repeal it now.

    • https://sites.google.com/site/warpminesblog/ warpmine

AmericanborninCanada Constitutionally, we are but since our betters are interested in only how much money and power they can gather, we are in fact a Banana republic in reality.

      • http://cfp4us.org/ AmericanborninCanada

warpmine AmericanborninCanada I know.  We have to change that. It’s up to us because they never will.

    • JeffWRidge

AmericanborninCanada Well said. You put my thoughts into words.

    • njmom

AmericanborninCanada Obama doesn’t care about “right” or does he care to do what is right. If the GOP was what  they campaign on they would have started impeachment proceedings in the House.

      • http://cfp4us.org/ AmericanborninCanada

njmom AmericanborninCanada I agree, but we also know the GOP is in it for their own power as well and don’t give a rat’s behind about what people want either.  >:-(

    • patriot077

AmericanborninCanada It justs burns my biscuits that the staffers for all those parasites in congress are also exempt from this PO$ policy they are sticking us with. I knew the House & Senate had exempted themselves, the greedy bastoids, but to hear this about their staffers created a new hotpoint in my brain today.

      • http://cfp4us.org/ AmericanborninCanada

patriot077 AmericanborninCanada yeah. burned biscuits and feathers tied in a royal knot.  I know and I hear ya.  grrrr.

  • https://sites.google.com/site/warpminesblog/ warpmine

One reason it won’t……….spineless GOP in Congress.

    • OneThinDime

warpmine I didn’t see one of the most important reasons for me, ObamaCare covers ILLEGAL ALIENS with ALL costs borne by the taxpayers with ILLEGAL ALIENS not subject to the individual mandate tax.

      • The Sentinel

OneThinDime warpmine That makes my blood boil.

        • OneThinDime

It should make every taxpayer’s blood boil but yet the MSM is crickets on this as well.

      • patriot077

OneThinDime warpmine OneThinDime warpmine The only “tax” they seem to participate in is the “Earned Income Credit” (refund even when no tax is paid) and they also get the “social net” benefits that real taxpayers are footing the bill for. The whole mess stinks to high, high heaven.

        • OneThinDime

They can also claim all of their family members in Mexico as dependents and receive more tax credits.  We are handing out billions to illegal aliens via the IRS. No one in Congress is going after this, no one is going after the illegal alien amnesty crowd of Rubio, Paul, McAmnesty, Grahamnesty

        • patriot077

OneThinDime Disgusting and true. I recall reading about that and the people at IRS who tried to put a stop to it were made to stand down. I wonder how many kinds of worms are burrowing into each of our systems.

  • OneThinDime

Just wait until the Cadillac health care tax kicks in in 2018.  We will be taxed 40% of our premiums over the gov’t threshold if the annual premium amounts exceed around $10,000 because our health insurance is too good. By 2018 no one will have insurance.

  • OneThinDime

Here’s the chart by state from Heritage on expected premium increases. http://blog.heritage.org/2013/03/18/obamacare-projected-premium-increases-by-state/

    RID:  Repeal Impeach Deport

  • JeffWRidge

I only need one reason: it’s an unconstitutional power grab by the federal government.

    • notsofastthere

JeffWRidge I think the Supreme Court declared it CONSTITUTIONAL, the same with MURDERING BABIES and Prohibiting Christmas Displays on public grounds. The deed has been done! The total damage won’t be found out for many years. Sadly, American’s will get used to inferior health care, just like Europe.

      • JeffWRidge

notsofastthere JeffWRidge In Dred Scott v. Sandford (1857) the Supreme Court ruled that blacks were not American citizens and had no rights under the Constitution. In Plessy v. Ferguson (1896) they found that states and local government had the right to force racial segregation, despite the 14th Amendment. In Kelo v. New London (2005) they have ruled that cities can use eminent domain to sell private property for business development.
They were wrong in these, and other, decisions and they are wrong about Obamacare. SCOTUS has a long history of bad decisions. Every now and then a later group of justices overturn one of the courts earlier abominations.
In his National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius decision, Roberts placed himself among the worse justices in our history with the tortured logic he used to justify Obamacare. I do not care what SCOTUS says about the law; it is unconstitutional.

        • notsofastthere

JeffWRidge notsofastthere I agree the law is unconstitutional, but neither of us  can overturn Roberts criminal decision. I don’t think Obamacare will be overturned in my lifetime. That’s all
Every nation has had its rise and fall. We are watching our great nation fall and fall fast. Did the Repubs defund Obamacare, the EPA, Dept of Ed? Houston, we got a problem here.

        • OneThinDime

JeffWRidge notsofastthere Until Obama is gone the SCOTUS will only get worse if he appoints another Justice.

        • OneThinDime

notsofastthere JeffWRidge Hold the faith, only one small part was heard and it was States’ cases not American taxpayers.

        • JeffWRidge

notsofastthere JeffWRidge Sadly no, the GOP did not do what they should have. They let the American people down again. We can’t trust either party. One of them is hellbent on undermining the Constitution and the other is populated with gutless wonders.
I fear we are caught in the cycle that Alexander Tytler spoke of.

        • JeffWRidge

OneThinDime JeffWRidge notsofastthere That’s one of my concerns. One more appointment could mean a far-left SCOTUS for decades to come.

      • OneThinDime

notsofastthere JeffWRidge Only the individual mandate as a tax, the remainder of the law has not yet made it to SCOTUS but the birth control / abortion part is on its way from numerous plaintiffs.

  • http://www.navalwarfare.blogspot.com/ Libertyship46

I think 2014 will be the death of Obamacare. It will be such a huge disaster that either one of two things will happen: Either it will be repealed or the Democrats will literally lose generations of voters, or there will be a move for a single-payer system, which is basically what they have in Canada and Britain. But as soon as all these exchanges collapse, along with millions of people losing their current insurance at the same time, then you will have a revolt in this country that will make the elections of 2010 look like a joke. People are just about to find out at the end of this year and the very beginning of next year how badly nailed they were by Reid, Pelosi, and Obama and they certainly won’t like it.

    • The Sentinel

      Libertyship46 I hope you’re right.

    • louisiana_mom

Libertyship46 They will blame the “Republican Congress” for failure to provide enough funds (the low-information sheeple will believe them) and the Progressives will demand a single-payer system… claiming this is the only way to salvage the damage done by the Republicans, which is what they wanted in the first place.  Watch for it.

      • PhillyCon

louisiana_mom Libertyship46 True, they would try to do that.  But Obamacare passed with Dem supermajorities … so I don’t see how they could pin that Republicans.
I have seen some liberals on the net trying to blame insurance and drug companies.

        • badbadlibs

          PhillyCon louisiana_mom Libertyship46
It doesn’t matter that it passed with dem supermajorities when the leftist media will not report that, but will cover for that fact and add in low information, give me, give me voters and it’s easy to see how republicans will get blamed.

        • OneThinDime

PhillyCon louisiana_mom Libertyship46 Oprah started the blame the insurance companies along with the pork-laden Michael Moore.  Oprah has proved to be a failure and Moore a moron.  We’ll get it repealed, just watch Ted Cruz and Mike Lee!  They have gotten 100% Repub support on several amendments.  The writing is on the wall, the wise litigators are now in the Senate and the RINOs are riding their waves.

        • OneThinDime

Conservatives are far and wide on social media now, we have Katie Pavlich, Breitbart, Michelle Malkin, Scoop and many other great bloggers that are getting the message out.  Just look at the gun control initiatives, Dems are waking up and seeing the socialism and they don’t like it.

        • PhillyCon

OneThinDime PhillyCon louisiana_mom Libertyship46 Well said.  We no other choice!  Lets be like the Leftists and never give up.  Look how they kept pushing gay marriage.

    • njmom

Libertyship46 From your computer to God’s ear.

    • notsofastthere

Libertyship46 We have a corrupt government and scandals about wasted billions of dollars come out daily. Nothing is EVER done about it. Government keeps growing, keeps taxing and taking, and Republican’s don’t cut the base line budget…ever. Other than Prohibition, I don’t see any laws repealed. Obamacare is constitutional now. Companies and doctors have made decisions/changes, rules and regulations have been instituted. I don’t see how we can return from this disaster with a congress of limp-wristed Republican cowards, and insane Leftist Democrats.

    • badbadlibs

      Libertyship46 What “The Sentinel” said.

  • JungleCogs

    Kill it now!

  • njmom

If someone was trying to destroy a nation Obamacare would be the way to do it. Costly, job killing and govt run are threee easy ways to bankrupt the system and the people at the same time and if the don’t like it they can die because you then control their lives. Sounds like the perfect plan and it was in Obama’s mind and still is.

    • OneThinDime

njmom The one thing Obama has no control over is the retired docs setting up independent medical care facilities that are cash only.  An inexpensive penalty and good fee-based services will win over and the gov’t can’t do a d@mn thing  about it. Without Medicare, Medicaid and all the other insurance paperwork and no unions, health care will be affordable.

  • PhillyCon

Let’s take a page from the Left and NEVER give up on an issue.  Let’s keep on talking about it for years and years on end, even when we think no one is listening.  Problem is, the GOP is bunch of cavers and scaredy cats. They have no balls to do the crap Reid and Pelosi did to pass this POS.

    • louisiana_mom

PhillyCon I agree, I cannot imagine a Republican president with control of both houses of Congress shoving a balanced budget amendment through the way the Dems did with Obamacare…  As you stated they don’t have the balls.

    • OneThinDime

PhillyCon Correct!  I have something in my pocket for my particular challenge to the unconstitutional behemoth.

  • badbadlibs

On several occasions I’ve seen cars with a bumper sticker saying: “I heart obamacare”.
Can they be the ones first affected by the sheer evil of this plan? Is that too much to ask?!?!?

    • notsofastthere

badbadlibs I still see bumper stickers with vote Obama – Biden. They are too stupid to be embarrassed or even have a clue that they are void of any intelligence.

      • louisiana_mom

notsofastthere badbadlibs Never underestimate the stoopid in the sheeple or low-information voter…  That’s one of the main things that has gotten us into this mess.

  • jazzee

we all knew this those who paid attention and there is nothing we can do….we lost the election so we will get this shoved down our throats UNLESS it all falls apart and then they can place their single payer system which is what they are hoping for anyway…I can’t take much more of this Obama garbage …so depressing he is an arrogant liar who needs to be forced into the real world.  Heard Mark Levin say Obama and his cabinet and biden et al are EXEMPT from obamacare how sweet
did you know the UNIONS and businesses are working on the lovely amnesty proposal?? how does that make you feel?
for those of us trying to find a job pretty dang angry

    • OneThinDime

jazzee Well the Dems quickly discovered that their large donor base got slammed with the medical device tax.  The Senate voted to repeal it.  We MUST slam these Dems running for re-election because they passed ObamaCare to begin with. Remember the 1099 requirement that quickly got repealed?  We need to find somewhere to list all of the provisions and each one that is repealed and who voted which way so there is one reference to go to during 2014, 2016 and 2018 elections (new provisions each time)

  • clubgitmo

And who are we going to get to repeal this disaster?

  • Isaiah 54

There is a SEVEN FOOT TALL STACK of Obama Care REGULATIONS: http://legalinsurrection.com/2013/03/obamacare-red-tape-tower-will-make-you-cower/
Obamacare is the stupidest program ever devised by corrupt politicians.

    • louisiana_mom

Isaiah 54 The last figure I saw stated 26 million were out of work and no longer counted in the unemployment rate…

  • applepie101

We know by now that Obamacare is a bad thing. What people must realize is that the power brokers in the republican party are defending it, from speaker Boehner refusing to support efforts to defund it, to judge Roberts refusing to strike it down as an unconstitutional act. They clearly have as much to gain from Obamacare as the democrats do.

    • SweetLiberty

applepie101 That’s the way things used to be done without insurance companies interfering and getting a piece of the pie!

    • Suzyqpie

@applepie101 Cash-for-service by physicians, around here in GA, is being labeled concierge care. Im unclear how it got that label, but it is becoming very popular. I’m on board.

  • poptoy1949

    Great Article !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SweetLiberty

The best reason…the people do’t want it!  They lied!  The way it was passed is unconstitutional!

    • clubgitmo

SweetLiberty Well Roberts ruled it constitutional. Hence the problem.

      • Suzyqpie

clubgitmo SweetLiberty I have a bad attitude about 0bamacareRobertstax, I admit that profoundly. But I believe John Roberts ruled the way he did on this debris field to get more, new, better party invitations in WDC. He got to town and no one liked him and his wife was pouting and life was not fun until this ruling came down.

        • clubgitmo

Suzyqpie clubgitmo SweetLiberty Don’t doubt you at all. These anti-Americans all have an agenda. His ruling will go down in history and not as a good history.

  • TrestlesChiro

My profession was completely left out of the affordable care act. Despite the presidents assurance that chiropractors would be included he failed to follow through with that. So many people depend on our services to help keep them from getting surgery or just to function at work. It’s a shame and I sure hope this gets repealed some how.
    http://trestleschiropractic.com/blog/obamacare-may-be-taking-away-your-san-clemente-chiropractic-coverage
