Former GOP party leader Michael Steele was on MSNBC trying to explain to the liberals that Trump’s base isn’t going to abandon him because they believe in the “fake news” narrative so much.
And he called it a “dangerous” place for the United States.
It is a weird place we’re in. As a conservative I know the media is biased and unfair to those on the right, but it’s hard for me to defend the Trump administration actually lying all the time just because the media is untrustworthy.
It really is a dangerous place we’re in when our only justification for our actions is that our opponents are worse. That’s basically a race to the bottom, and nothing I’ve seen so far has disabused me of that observation since the election.
