TRUMP: We haven’t failed on healthcare, we’re still negotiating!

Trump told Fox Business this morning that the press reports that they had failed on healthcare are simply wrong, that they are simply still negotiating:

In some respects I agree. But the reason it’s being reported that they failed on healthcare is that Trump and the Republican leadership tried to shove a bad bill down our throats in a very, very short amount of time. I mean heck, it took Democrats over a year to pass Obamacare and Republicans tried to ‘repeal and replace it’ in weeks, which really wasn’t a repeal at all. It’s like none of them were really taking the repeal of Obamacare seriously, and Trump worked very hard to get this bad bill passed as much as they did.

So yes, it did fail and I’m very glad about it. But that failure opened the doors for more negotiation which is why he can now say that.

Also did you catch how Trump says they’ll save 900 billion with health care reform? That’s a lot of savings, but we all know Trump plans to blow it all on a big trillion dollar infrastructure bill, so how are we really saving anything?
