Trumpertantrum is LYING about Ted Cruz again on Twitter

Trumpertantrum is now lying again about Ted Cruz on Twitter, saying that Cruz was “caught cold” in a lie about pushpolls in South Carolina. He also tweeted out a Politico article:

But if you read the article Trumpertantrum tweets, it doesn’t say anything about Cruz being caught in a lie. In fact it shows that his campaign has denied the charge multiple times today:

POLITICO – Ted Cruz’s campaign fired back at Donald Trump on Thursday after the Republican rival tweeted accusations of the Texas senator’s “people” of “doing very sleazy and dishonest ‘pushpolls’ on me.”

“We are watching!” Trump tweeted.

Brian Phillips, the Cruz team’s rapid-response director, tweeted an hour later, “The push polls are not coming from Cruz. Period.”

So far, nobody’s been caught in a lie. Let’s continue:

The exchange follows a report by The Washington Post published earlier in the day that refers to robo-calls to potential voters in South Carolina that become hostile when the respondent voices support for a candidate other than Cruz. The Texas senator’s campaign denied for that story that it was responsible for the calls, which said they were being conducted by Remington Research, the name of the consulting firm started by Jeff Roe, Cruz’s campaign manager.

“We’re not doing any robo-polls in South Carolina,” Cruz’s director of research told the Post. “It’s not us making those calls. Anyone can make those calls as Remington Research to screw with reporters and make Jeff look like he’s doing something.”

No liars being busted here either! Let’s finish this up:

Thursday is not the first time that Trump has accused Cruz’s campaign of conducting push polling against him. In January, he tweeted:

Ah. Well that’s interesting. Who’da thunk. But still no evidence of Cruz lying. All we have here are denials and accusations. Nobody’s been busted yet.

Except Trump, who obviously lied in his tweet about Cruz to smear Cruz as a liar.

For what it’s worth, this was just tweeted by a NBC News reporter:
