Joe Scarborough had a fawning interview with Donald Trump this morning and he tried to cajole carefully out of the morose runner up just what happened in Iowa.
He made two big excuses. One was that caucuses are weird, and they’re really hard, and he didn’t know it took longer than a minute to vote.

His other excuse was that he had no idea what a “ground game” was, and had he known, he would have had a better one.

Wasn’t this guy the brilliant organizer who knew how to hire the best, and smarter than everyone? Now all of a sudden, his aides are idiots, and he shouldn’t have believed in them. We really want this guy running the military and the government of a multi-trillion dollar economy? I wonder what excuses he’ll make then? “Being president is hard.” “I didn’t know what nuclear winter was, now I know.”
Awesome.
Oh, and by the way – about his contention that he had no idea what a ground game was:
Asked if he feels good about ground game, Trump calls Iowa strategist Chuck Laudner to mics. "If he doesn’t feel good, Chuck you’re fired."

Trump asked about his ground game in Iowa. He defers to Chuck Laudner, then says that if he messes it up: "Chuck, you're fired."
