In an amazing post on Heat St., it’s being reported that an Episcopal church in Pasadena, California (which is a lovely city by the way) is cutting out all mention of Trump’s name because it traumatizes people. Amazing.
Pasadena’s All Saints Episcopal Church will not mention Donald Trump by name in prayers, saying that mentions of the President-elect are “literally a trauma trigger to some people.”
For years, the California church has offered prayers for people in positions of power, including President Obama. The church will continue offering those prayers—but it will no longer use proper names, said rector Mike Kinman in a blog post, because “prayer should never be a trauma-causing act.”
“The question is—does saying the president’s name in prayer in this way compromise the safety of the worshipping community?” Kinman wrote. “Let me be clear that I believe this is a high bar… much more than ‘I disagree with the president’ or even ‘the president deeply offends me.’ This is the level of compromising the safety of the worshipping community.”
How fragile a snowflake do you have to be to get triggered and traumatized by the mere mention of Donald Trump? It’s amazing. I intensely dislike the President-elect but I’m not emotionally crippled by the guy!!
The Blaze had a video from the church where the pastor talks about real trauma that “people of color,” immigrants, women and LGBT people experience every day!!
Wow. I didn’t realize I was being traumatized every day as a person of color!! Weird, huh?
“I can’t even look at his picture, because it’s like looking at my abuser” – he quotes one of his parishioners saying this about Trump.

Every time Trump gets me angry about the dumb things he does, all I have to do is watch how liberals overreact to make me feel better.
