Trump’s response when asked if he still has confidence in Bannon is….INCREDIBLE

Trump was asked yesterday if he still has confidence in Steve Bannon. His answer was incredible to me, as it wasn’t nearly as loyal as I expected it to be:

NY POST – Washington’s rumor mill is working overtime on the fate of aide Steve Bannon, who is said to be at the center of the rampant White House in-fighting. When I asked the President Tuesday afternoon if he still has confidence in Bannon, who took over the campaign in mid-August, I did not get a definitive yes.

“I like Steve, but you have to remember he was not involved in my campaign until very late,” Trump said. “I had already beaten all the senators and all the governors, and I didn’t know Steve. I’m my own strategist and it wasn’t like I was going to change strategies because I was facing crooked Hillary.”

He ended by saying, “Steve is a good guy, but I told them to straighten it out or I will.”

If you were Steve Bannon and you saw that, what would you think? That’s a really big BUT!

Trump totally sounds dismissive of Bannon at this point, taking all the credit for the success of his campaign and suggesting that Bannon really didn’t play that big of a part.

Wow. If that doesn’t say it all right there.

Now I can almost guarantee you that Trump will say or tweet something way more loyal and complimentary about Bannon in the aftermath of these comments. But I think we all know the real deal just based on this answer.

So how long before Bannon is officially out? Days? Weeks?
