This morning, CNN reporter Ivan Watson was detained by police live on camera this morning while reporting from Istanbul, Turkey.
Police and protesters have been clashing in Taksim Square, and CNN was there to cover the clamor when the reporter, standing in front of the riot police, was suddenly questioned about his papers and then taken away by police, despite the obvious on air setup and press credentials. Watson also reported the incidet on Twitter (via Mediaite)
