According to Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton, looks like there’s a big fat disaster recovery tape that has all of Lois Lerner’s emails on them. The feds say it’s just too hard to dig individual stuff out of that tape and they don’t really want to go to all of that trouble:
If this were 2006 with Nancy Pelosi leading the charge and the emails in question belonged to Mark Foley, you better believe the Feds would find a way to get to those emails.
