I believe Colin Powell is a great American. He served honorably in the military and as secretary of state. He provided true leadership by disagreeing with his party attempting to come up with the best solution for the country. He WARNED us all of the foolishness of invading Iraq.
And now, all you Republicans are trashing him because ... he doesn't think Mitt Romney will make a good President? I don't see too many top Republicans running to endorse Romney.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t the RINO, establishment, Palin-bashing begin when Colin Powell--while endorsing the unaccomplished, incompetent Barack Obama--cited Gov. Palin as the reason he was supporting the democratic ticket. General Powell “conveniently” forgot to mention the lack of experience and background--regarding the guy on the TOP of the ballot that he was promoting.
In a typical, elitist, lazy manner he chose to ignore Sarah’s many achievements in almost twenty years of public service. The weasel knew he couldn’t say McCain was a weak “#1”, being a fellow V.F.W.; however, Gov. Palin was an easy target.
I feel it’s important we NEVER forget this unacceptable betrayal by this “so-called” republican, Colin Powell. I lost a ton of respect for the man that day, and there’s nothing he could do to get it back (not that the snob cares).
I cannot stand to see Powell, he's a traitor to republicans. I'm sure he will endorse Obama again. Obama has done nothing to help the economy and it will not recover until Obama is out of the White House.
I have to give credit to Hannity tonight for not soft-balling Powell. Not happy with Powell's responses (can't say I am surprised), but overall I was pleasantly surprised with "the segment" as a whole. Yes, he deserves our respect for his military service, as do all of those who have served and continue to serve in uniform. THAT SAID, I am disgusted with his politics. He is COMPLETELY out of the closet as far as his support for BHO and his tax and spend policies. He has shown his true colors. A patriot for his service?...YES An irrelevant political figure who represents what is wrong with the Republican Party?...Hell YEAH.
What is the point of Colin Powell continuing to be a republican? He has no place in the GOP, and hasn't had one for quite some time now. He is a racist, as he backed Obama based on the color of his skin. We all know it. He timed his support of Obama perfectly last time around to do the most damage to McCain. Colin Powell needs to switch parties and get the hell out of our faces. He's a disgrace.
Another reason why I thought Bush was such a horrible RINO president. Powell, Rove, Cheney-all RINO lovers. Can't believe we had 8 years of that nightmare then got 4 of Communist Obama. We'll get 4 more or RINO Romney unless Gov. Palin goes rogue.
Bush ticked me off plenty, and I disagreed with his big spending, big government tendencies. However, I always believed the Bush believed what he was doing was right. I may have disagreed with him, but I never felt he was deliberately trying to destroy my country like Obama is, in my opinion. He just wasn't a conservative. He's old school GOP. Romney is going to be the GOP nominee, so we have to suck it up and deal with it. He wasn't my choice either, but nothing is going to change that path now. I will vote for him. I can't allow myself to do nothing about Obama. He's gotta go.
Don't forget that President Bush appointed John Ashcroft as Attorney General, you don't get much more conservative then AG Ashcroft.
The "nightmare" under President Bush...yea, it was hell with that 4% unemployment, gas prices a dollar something, pro life legislation being signed...yea, it was rough....
I'm surprised Powell didn't reach into his jacket pocket and pull out a couple of Chinese health balls and start moving them around in his hands a la Captain Queeg in 'The Cain Mutiny"
All this talk about color as it relates to politics is tiresome. I intend to ignore the nonsense. However, my ballot goes to ROMNEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
He came out of the Lib/Dem closet a long time ago. Why is this a big surprise? Why does anybody care what he has to say at this point? He's just trying to push a book and you can bet the MSM is going to be using him more and more to give 'legitimacy' to Obama's campaign but this will only have an effect on racists who are going to go black anyway.
I came away listening to the whole interview with two thoughts:
-Color is thicker than reason and
-probably THE stupidest statement I've heard in a very long time, "Selective is part of everything"
There went the last shred of respect I had for Colin (blow) Powell. How can people be this stupid? We really do have a war ahead, in that so many people are this oblivious to the facts and the truth.

Colin. Change the spelling of your name to Colon mmkay? It's a much better fit. What have you done for us lately? Once an in-shape toughguy, icon, now a soft, anus entering, colon-dweller. Who would've thunk it?
Maybe those challenging your blackness? You've learned that in order to continue in your God-given skin-color you must be leftwing. Those with more steel in the spines and red blood in their arteries, realize the importance of the individual. Enjoy your lifetime payments from the people. You did a great job as a General. As a civilian though, you suck, loudly, morning, noon, and night. I have been less than impressed with the so-called great Colin Powell since he excoriated McCain for the way he conducted his campaign, but said nothing of Obama's slippery conduct and then had the unmitigated gall to vote for a wholehearted liberal over his friend. Shut it Powell, I am not interested.
I have no respect for this man any longer - He's confused and a sellout!

I think Powell can be now clinically diagnosed as "cuckoo for Cocoa POTUS." I heard the man speak about twelve years ago, and, while I thought he was a good speaker (think Showbama) I strongly disagreed with his message.
I didn't watch this turncoat. He's as conservervative as Olympia Snow and I'm not surprised at all.
It's absolutely disheartening when even amongst the most educated and intelligent blacks, tribalism trumps logic.

Lauer is such a slimy rat and Powell can't seem to make up his mind what cereal to eat in the morning. Must be uncomfortable being a right-leaning, no left-leaning, no middle-of -the-roader like him.
Why doesn't this guy just join the Democratic Party and be done with it? He'd be more at home there.

Powell and his wife continue to run scared. She would not let him run for Vice-President or President because she was too scared what might happen to them. They made it sound like they carefully look frontwards, backwards, and all around themselves when they are in public--talk about PARANOID. Now he is so supportive of this Marxist thug of a President--scared someone will call him an "Uncle Tom" and may be someone behind the bushes if he is supportive of Republicans in any way. This is NO American military person--will sell out to anything that could be "scary."
