Uh, wow. #MarchforOurLives gets an NFL plane? Alright then…

Well this is… unique.

Robert Kraft, who owns the New England Patriots, made an unusual contribution to the March for Our Lives event. You know that big old fossil-fuel burning jet his team flies to games in? Well he loaned to the Parkland Families for their travels to D.C. for the rally/protest.

So, you know, that’s very nice I suppose. If an NFL owner donated air travel to, say, parents who wanted to bring their children to D.C. for the #MarchforLife to explain how choosing life over abortion is the reason the kids are alive, I’d think that was pretty cool.

I mean, definitely if an NFL owner did that Media Matters and Planned Parenthood and MoveOn and Women’s March – well you know, everyone organizing TODAY’S event – would attempt to crush that owner’s free speech and demand boycotts of not just his team but the entire NFL until he backed off and apologized for the evil anti-choice ways. He would have to repent or suffer.

Probably though that same backlash won’t be a problem for the Patriots. Even though the NFL isn’t exactly a left-wing area of interest (nor is any other sport except maybe soccer), there will probably be no one demanding retribution or advertiser boycotts or anything like that.

Here’s more from BizPacReview on Kraft’s decision.

Stacey James, a spokesperson for the team, told the Globe that the families of some of the victims of last month’s school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, along with some students who were injured, were flown to the nation’s capital on Thursday.

James said Kraft made the decision to support the protest after being contacted by former Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her husband, Mark Kelly.

“Not only did their friends and teachers get shot and killed, other friends shot and injured . . . most of them, they had bullets flying over their heads,” Kelly told the Washington Post.

The students and family members will be flown back at the conclusion of the rally Saturday. According to the Globe, neither Kraft, who has said he is a Trump supporter, nor any Patriots team members were on the flight.

Again, that’s very nice I guess. Those kids went through a tragedy. Now they are going to talk about how they feel about that, what they think should be done about it. And this guy offered to fly them to D.C. to do that.

He obviously used the team jet because of the publicity, as opposed to just buying them first-class tickets with his millions, and for the attention he could get from it. Also fine. Everyone exercising their free speech.

Do y’all think this means at the next March for Life millionaire business leaders who support are pro-life can safely support the march without the left trying to drive THEM out of business?

If you do, I’d like to sell you the Alamo at a discount rate. Just make the check out cash.
