Trump has apparently been watching CNN’s Jim Acosta because he tweeted this morning praise to Acosta for his ‘honesty’ over the government shutdown:

How is it possible that CNN’s Jim Acosta is actually reporting good things about Trump? Are dogs and cats getting along now? Does the left love President Trump now??

Ok ok now I get it. Acosta is just reporting that Trump and his allies are saying they won. He’s not praising Trump himself. In fact some of those quotes that Trump tweeted weren’t even in the video.
I get that Trump’s happy that CNN reported nice things about him, but Acosta didn’t agree with the reporting at all, he just reported it. Which really makes Trump’s tweet ‘fake news’ when you think about it.
As I was finishing up this post, Trump tweeted this on the issue:
Nobody knows for sure that the Republicans & Democrats will be able to reach a deal on DACA by February 8, but everyone will be trying....with a big additional focus put on Military Strength and Border Security. The Dems have just learned that a Shutdown is not the answer!
