VARNEY: Trump’s presidency is starting to UNRAVEL – [VIDEO]

For three days in a row Varney’s mini monologues have been fairly tough on Trump, as is the one today. He points out in this one that Trump is going to Camp David to regroup, noting that he needs to do that very thing because there are signs the Trump presidency is unraveling.

Watch:

Varney seems very troubled by a statement from Senator Corker where he said there needed to be a radical change in the White House. Corker argues that Trump isn’t stable or competent enough to be successful.

Varney’s point is that whether you agree with Corker or not, key Republicans are starting to pull away from Trump, and that threatens his agenda.

He also takes a dig a Trump supporters:

“Trump supporters have long claimed that the president’s negotiating skills would carry him through – hardball negotiation would get things done. Hasn’t worked out that way. Angry statements and off-the-wall tweets have not brought people to the negotiating table. They’ve turned them away. He has very few defenders and a multitude of critics.”

I don’t get the sense that Varney is pulling against Trump at all. I think he wants Trump to succeed as many of us do. But clearly Varney isn’t so in the tank for Trump that he’ll defend everything Trump says, like some we’ve seen over at Fox News.

And in this monologue Varney is right about Trump. His presidency is about to completely unravel unless he can get his (you know what) together, and he better do it fast!
