Thomas Gunderson, a man who was shot in the leg at the shooting in Vegas, was visited yesterday by the President and First Lady. He refused to stay in his bed as he explains below:
I will never lie down when the President of this great country comes to shake my hand! There may be plenty of issues in this country but I will always respect my country, my president and my flag. Shot in the leg or not, I will stand to show my President the respect he deserves!
That’s so cool!
Gunderson wrote in an earlier post that he’s doing fine and he’ll probably just need to have surgery on his leg, but that he won’t lose it.
