Legal Insurrection’s Anne Sorock captures a veteran who stands up to these anti-gun nuts in Chicago and makes a fantastic point. He asks them if the discussion was about the first amendment instead of the second amendment, would they still be asking if we need them today (as opposed to 1776).

BAM! He nailed it right there. That was the perfect argument against the folly of gun-control.

God forbid there is a problem

I hope the Military supports us and not them

The 2nd amendment is MORE relevant NOW than ever before

    • BlueGood

      BOOM!!!! Double BOOM!

    • http://onthemark1.blogspot.com/ On The Mark

That is absolutely correct. Standing up to protect or rights is most important precisely when they are being threatened.

    • bbitter

      Amen, amen, and amen.

    • TexasPGRRider

B.O. may “command” the military but I pray he does not CONTROL the military….

      • 911Infidel

BO can fire all the Generals that he wants to. Its still the troops who are needed to carry out his orders. Many, many of them take their oath to the Constitution dead seriously. They didn’t take an oath to Obama.

      • bornfreeamerican

We can’t forget they have been infiltrated, but I heard yesterday that the state of Utah…their sheriffs are willing to die for their freedoms and to preserve the 2nd ammendment..

    • Biggbear52

Much to our dismay the military MUST OBEY the commander and chief. Even if they know he is wrong. Otherwise the oath means nothing. I agree that they should and probably will follow the masses and protect as they have sworn to do. There in lies the Paradox indeed.
Twice in my military career I turned my back to the PRESUMED COMMANDER and CHIEF, JAMES EARL CARTER III. I will not go into detail as to why. Lets just say that he proved his intent on June 1 1977 and again on July 14 1979. Both times he proved to be the enemy and NOT the chief protector of this nation. It is also both time in our American history that have resulted in mass hardship and economic strife that last to this day!

      • http://www.facebook.com/paul.christian.942 librtifirst

I don’t agree with the first sentence. They have a duty to disobey the commander in chief in protection of our republic. I don’t see any paradox here. Much of the problem with the military industrial complex today is the massive amounts of technology used in warfare, and the integration of global military forces into one massive allied force. This is not a good thing as GWB would have had us believe. As we have united with many other nations against many other nations, we have taken a huge step toward risking the possibility that these allied forces could be use in the US one day. Our presence throughout the world and our disrespect for other nation’s national sovereignty may end up have a blow back effect that would be detrimental to our own internal sovereignty in the end. We no longer have to just worry about our own troops policing the streets and disarming Americans, but we also have to worry about the foreign troops that have been training to disarm Americans since the nineties. The idea that foreign troops will never invade the US is probably true. They will be invited.

        • TexasPGRRider

THANKS TONS librti !! If THAT doesn`t perk the ears of Patriots…we`ve got problems !!! The infiltration into the essence of our One Nation Under God by those who seek to do harm within and without HAS and IS coming to light on a daily basis as we continue our search for the TRUTH !!!!

I retired after 27 years in the Air Force about a year and a half ago. The military does not have to obey an order that does not go along with the Constitution, or is against the law. You will pay for not obeying the order, until it goes to court.

This is where is starts folks. We need people with courage to stand up and tel the truth. Why is that so hard? The 2nd amendment is about keeping a govt in check. I don’t give a damn what these eggheads think because they are wrong. Their historical perspective is wrong and it needs to be pointed. These progressive pinheads are distorting the nation AND teaching intolerance. As Levin said we used to be a tolerant nation until the left in the 60s took it and these same people are running the country.

  • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

    • Orangeone

Really. What’s up with that? The blacks can’t be called the N-word by a nonblack because it’s hate speech, but they can by other blacks and that’s cool. Why is the left permitted to call law-abiding Americans Nazis?

I appreciate that he wore his flight jacket… it gave him a lttle more credibility. Well-said and great point.

The folks up in front don’t have a leg to stand on… seething in their twisted liberalism.

I’m glad the crowd was railing against them… this is a non-negotiable right guaranteed to us by our guiding documents and principles (and laws). It’s sickening that this should even come into question.

Yeah, there will be big trouble if they keep going down this road and try to illegally disarm Americans.

    • TexasPGRRider

I don`t believed it`s encouraged to be seen in public “patched up” in your flightsuit or flight jacket because of the potential threat to one`s safety. However, I will defend this HERO`S Rights to the DEATH, and I VERY MUCH APPRECIATE that he wore his flight jacket…PATCHES AND ALL !!!!

    “Anti-gun nuts” ?

Some of us “nuts” don’t view events like Newtown as acceptable collateral damage as the “gun nuts” apparently do. We don’t feel that we need armed civilians to form “a well regulated militia” in order to “secure the liberty of a free state”. We kinda have the largest militart in human history to do that job now.

    • ajs3176

And when that military turns on you, what are you going to do little anti-gun nut?

      • stage9

Liberals don’t believe that their god would EVER turn on them. After all, nothing like that has ever happened in history before has it?

      • badbadlibs

He’ll surrender, shoving his wife and children out the door first.

    • stage9

No. The problem with “anti-gun nuts” is that you’re too stupid to understand that the problem in this country is BEHAVIORAL and hasn’t got the SLIGHTEST thing to do with GUNS!

A person who gives himself over to hate and revenge is a murderer LONG BEFORE HE EVER PICKS UP HIS WEAPON to murder his victim(s)!

But because you liberals love to BLAME EVERYTHING BUT THE PERPETRATOR, because he represents your most valued VOTING BLOC, I wouldn’t expect you to comprehend that.

    • badbadlibs

Wow, every time any of you liberals speak you show your ignorance of the Constitution.
IF you want only the government to have weapons, then I’m sure North Korea would welcome you with open arms.

      • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

He ought to feel right at home in N. Korea- they’ve got a dear leader over there too.

    • http://www.facebook.com/tracy.mitchell.9421450 Tracy Mitchell

It’s foolish to assume that ANY of the Bill of Rights are irrelevant. To also assume that we have the largest military in the world is asinine. Have you looked at China lately? How about Russia? If or when everything comes down to war what will your position be then? We are losing our freedoms bit by bit and people like you that sit back and applaud your Messiah-In-Chief for taking the steps that he is.
If you think that China would never try to start a war with us, then you are delusional. You have the courage to spout your anti-2nd Amendment drivel, are your courageous enough to read an article about China CURRENTLY gearing up for war?

Here’s the story you coward: http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2013/01/18/19-Jan-13-World-View-China-s-directive-to-the-People-s-Liberation-Army-Get-Ready-for-War

PS: Who will you turn to when your land is being invaded. 10 to 1 you will be begging the “militia” AKA citizens who are armed to come save your sorry butt.

      • badbadlibs

        Bravo!

      • notsofastthere

I think China won’t need to fire a shot. They are just buying our land, our technology, our resources and our debt. So, the will just walk in and take over.
Our military is being underfunded and China is growing an impressive military.

    • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

So you’re suggesting that pro Constitution “gun nuts” do accept events like Newtown? Good luck with that attitude when a criminal who’s stolen a gun comes at you or a family member and you don’t have time to call the cops.

    • mike3e4r7

If you think Newtown was unacceptable collateral damage, witness the collateral damage of an unarmed citizenry. It is not a perfect world and never will be. You have a childlike attitude that responds to anything bad that happens by embracing any action that you think would have prevented it without examining the unitended consequences of the action or whether in fact it would even have solved the problem in the first place.

    • aposematic

The only “gun nuts” I know are those that don’t own a gun…that being in my dictionary the definition of nuts.

    • Orangeone

You are more than welcome to leave the United States and choose a country that has it’s foundation more inline with the freedoms you don’t desire. If you need suggestions, I’m sure many on this thread will be happy to offer their opinions on possible countries. I shall offer you to Mexico and Cuba because they are on this continent.

BTW, don’t let the door slam your @ss on your way out and be sure to take your relatives that feel likewise with you. In the meantime, please place a “Gun Free Zone” sign in your front, back and side yards so your neighbors are well aware of your position to wait for law enforcement.

    • http://onthemark1.blogspot.com/ On The Mark

We supporters of the Constitution don’t view events like Newtown as acceptable collateral damage as the “anti-gun nuts” apparently do. Mass murders like Newtown only occur in your so-called “gun-free zones” because even whackos understand the very simple concept that “anti-gun nuts” can’t seem to grasp.

      People with guns shoot back.

Then there are those who oppose our God-given right to protect ourselves and our property for precisely that reason.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/44F4AB4VSCTOCHBMBG4ZWWD5OU Laurel

To an extent I disagree with the veteran. It is an ‘us’ against ‘them’ time in our lives. I didn’t create that mentality but it is a mentality that I have to operate within and deal with every single day. That ‘us’ against ‘them’ mentality is why we are currently seeing tyranny rear it’s ugly head. Remember tyranny comes in many forms and at many levels. When you hear a politician not espousing intellect but espousing inflammatory rhetoric and demonizing the opposition, he is practicing a form of tyranny. When Obama issues executive orders at mach five, especially those in direct conflict of the Bill of Rights and Constitution, he is practicing tyranny. When his cabinet posts, like EPA, prevent someone from conducting business, they are practicing tyranny. When the Labor Board sues a business for non union practices they are practicing tyranny.

The examples abound but I think you get the picture.

  • bbitter

Do some homework, find some long, boring gun-control documentaries which are loaded with facts, and then have the guts to go stand and tell the truth.

This man is still fighting. I applaud him with all my heart.

170+ Million people have been killed due to guns in the past 100 years. 170 million people who were disarmed, who lost their guns, and fell to the power of the guns in their own governments. 170+ million, that we KNOW of, were killed by their own governments. That doesn’t include wars with external nations. No WW1 or 2, no other conflict between nations, global or isolated… just their OWN governments, a number which beats the casualty list of every war during the last 100 years combined.

Is the threat of tyranny here in America today? Well… as the American Indian if the US Government can be trusted. As the African American if the government can be trusted. Ask the Japanese and German Americans, American citizens, who were thrown into concentration camps during WW1 and WW2 if their government can be trusted. Go ahead, ask them. Then tell the American Indian that the US Government has decided that they can’t be trusted to own a gun. Tell African Americans that they can’t have weapons, tell women they cannot be trusted to own and operate a weapon in their own defense, tell them to ‘call 9-1-1′ if there is a problem, and then tell me what they say.

And while you do that, I’ll buy more ammo.

    • waytngtym

So why isn’t this a headline story somewhere? I am not just saying this idly, am serious. Why isn’t, “170 Million Disarmed Citizens Killed By Own Governments In Last 100 Years” a headline story on FOXNews tonight?
Or why doesn’t a FN contributor work this up and present it, to launch a rich series on it, with editions EVERY night?
Want some back up to go with you? We’ll be there…

      • Orangeone

You have a great point and I must ask again, rhetorically to this group, why weren’t the Jewish population outraged during 2008 and 2012? Why didn’t the founders of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum scream from the rooftops that Obama is like Hitler?

      • bbitter

Why? You know why after watching MSNBC for ten seconds. They won’t do this for at least three reasons:
        1. They don’t want to admit the fact, or deal with the implications that it is the educated classes, the social elite that they are a part of, the ideology behind a planned society, which committed these crimes.
        2. They don’t want to derail any plans they have with the government. Either through angering the government, or any ideological plans they actually want to implement. Believe it or not, distrust of the government and independence really isn’t a popular idea in the media.
        3. This goes against their funding. The masses that tune-in to hear about the Jersey Shore cast getting thrown in jail or out of a pub in Italy aren’t interested in a historical documentary on reality. Most shows don’t deal with reality at all, and even those that pretend to be ‘reality shows’ are anything but. Those watching, literally, don’t want to know.

If you want a link to a really long, dry, and terribly produced documentary on this kind of stuff, I found one for you. It is an hour-long, dry, presentation.

        • waytngtym

Depends on who is presenting it and with what conviction, with what purpose and drive. This is what the people who are hurting are waiting for, someone with prominance to NOT care about ratings but rather truth and to take a chance on IT.
It is not a dry subject at all.

          • bbitter

I’m a writer, by trade. I write technical computer manuals for network administrators… and I thought the documentary I linked to was dry… and I know dry. :-)

The topic, you are right, is NOT dry or uninteresting at all. It is compelling, shocking, and has the distinct possibility of altering the world-view and ideology of masses of people – if produced correctly. …but it is not in the ideology of the media companies to push that, and I haven’t found an anti gun control documentary or site that isn’t pretty dry… so far at least.

        • http://profile.yahoo.com/OOKK3KBK7M2DX5OKOV7ODZ3QTA Jay

Amazing that all the Jews, Catholics and Protestants are just lying down for this. Making me think that after the Rapture a lot of really “religious” people are going to be scratching their heads….

          • bbitter

            I agree. …generally.

But instead of simple head-scratching, I think a whole lot of ‘O crap’, bowing of the knee, and hiding under rocks will be happening. I guess it depends on your religious flavor, but yes, I do agree with you. How any God fearing person could justify not standing with their fellow man against slavery, murder, death, and tyranny, is beyond me.

Is there ever a time when our Bill of Rights may be abridged? No. Not Ever. Not one single of our Ten Amendments — which are our guarantee of liberty — may be set aside unless the people decide they’d rather be in shackles to a tyrannical state. And with the media complex eager to assist progressives to enshrine diversity, equality, tolerance (of all things reprobate), and non-discrimination (except for discrimination against the good, the true, and the beautiful) as our national ethos, then, Houston: we have a problem. We have a problem because the poison of Godless liberalism has turned our beloved country into a stinking cesspool.

Terrific video. He, this veteran, is America: and we will not go quietly. The anti-gun guy is King George, or worse, in drag.

    • aposematic

      Well said HarriefHT2!

  • mike3e4r7

That asshat speaking at the podium should be thankful that the law abiding gun owning citizens of this country haven’t tried to use their 2nd amendment right to bear arms, to take away his 1st amendment right to free speach. Who are the tyrants? The leftists who use their 1st amendment rights to speach (propaganda) and misuse the legal system to take away others rights, or the gun owners who have yet to use their 2nd amendment rights to stop leftists from spouting their hateful and malicious words?

Notice that the guy speaking in the front of the room didn’t say whether or not the First Amendment was relevant today. With Obama and his minions, I don’t think they have much use for ANY of the Amendments. Their support of the “Fairness Doctrine,” which would severely limit free speech in this country, is ample proof of that. The veteran who spoke is absolutely correct. The threat of tyranny is just as bad today as it was 250 years ago. And the only reason that guy in the front of the room HAS the right to spout out all that junk is because we HAVE a Second Amendment. THAT is the difference liberals never seem to grasp.

The leftists, feeling their victory over the American Republic near, would be more than happy to declare all of the U.S. founding documents null and void. They already pay no attention to any of those documents anyway. But conversely, they depend on “you” staying the course long enough for the takeover to be completed.

When people start calling folks like Allen West “war criminals”, then I know that this country has a problem. This is just gives a bigger insight into liberal tactics.

    • magi52

BT, Lo@K at that Reagan Speech and he outlines exactly what is going on in 1964 NOW. Very familiar.

We need to stick to our Founding Principles because they ring so TRUE.

The Liberals/Democrats keep changing their words but listening to Reagan it is STILL the exact same thing.

  • jlbs

Tyranny is no less today than it was………..Here is our argument!!! Let’s use it, use it, use it!!!

    • NCHokie02

Agreed. It was implemented in 1796 (ratification of the Constitution) here to defend against possible tryanny here. The Russians saw tyranny come through the Bolshevik revolution and were disarmed. That worked out well for them. The Germans were disarmed and lived under a tryannical Nazi gov’t. The Cubans saw Castro and Guevera come through, they were then disarmed. Mao took control of China and disarmed the people. Tyrants disarm their people. If there is no fear of the people the gov’t can do what it wishes. Those are examples of tryanny coming through in the 1900’s, 1920’s, 1930’s and 1950’s. I’m sure there are for more examples out there. Why are they so niave as to believe that tyranny can’t happen here? Because they are complicent.

  • NCHokie02

I always wonder how all the unarmed liberals who hate guns believe they will take guns away from those that have guns? Have the liberals planned out the logistics in taking guns from the masses with people who have no guns? Most federal and local law enforcement own guns themselves. People who join jobs where you carry a gun do so in part because they want to carry a gun and have that mentality. Good luck trying to force them to enforce gun confiscation. We are already seeing sherriff’s and states posture against the feds in response to any laws that may come out regarding firearms.

  • 57thunderbird

Standing up cheering and saluting this patriot.Bravo sir.Well said.

  • waytngtym

Marching in Washington this Thursday for Life. Getting it warmed up for the next march. Time to end this crap, otherwise it will just wear everyone out til there’s nothing left. We need to energize by making all ideas and voices known. So many good ideas going solely into cyberspace… Time to get it out into the open. Peaceful demonstrations are a beginning with multiple signs and speeches. The guy from Tianamen Square the other day was trying to show us how to do it. Need many more to go and speak and rally as articulate as you all are… Tyme.

  • sDee

Awesome. Look around you Progressives – this is the future as free men wake up and rise up. Your king and his guards will not save you.

These sniveling creeps have been quietly infiltrating at the state and local levels because they know hard working honest people will trust them. I an so very glad to see citizens responding.

Here is a small town in Washington State that tried to ban guns in its park – and a veteran shows up. Watch the reaction of the marxist on the city council – and the Mayor who gets it.

    • aposematic

Got to love that young man and that Mayor…

    • 57thunderbird

The mayor was a stand up guy.Too bad all our public servants aren’t like him.

THIS is what conservatives must start doing. We have to start standing up, going into their meeting places, and speaking up for OUR rights as a nation. We’ve been silent and non-confrontational for too long.

  • waytngtym

We need a leader. I vote for the guy from Tianamen Square.

    • TexasPGRRider

Colonel Allen West gets MY vote….

  • Landscaper

    Just for starters:
The NRA=Chihuahua? Yeah, keep thinking that why don’t you. Now we know what the Prezbo thinks of all of us. Me[Obama]=American People[Chihuahuas].
These people in Washington, the people that made that PowerPoint presentation and the twit in the jacket speaking are going to find out how far they can push us the Chihuahuas.
They are about to get a face full of Pit-Bulls called the American People. Forget about the election, as I am not for conspiracy theories I am more convinced everyday the Election of 2012 was stolen/rigged, whatever.
The main gentlemen speaking asked about the 1st Amendment and “crickets”. They truly do thing the Constitution is an old outdated piece of paper and nothing more. Bravo Sierra liberals. Keep screwing around. Take that meeting on tape today and multiply it by 10 thousand all across the country and you all will wake up and wish YOU had an AK47.
P.S. to the lady at the end that “shushed” the camera person….. Maybe not a good idea to do that again. Especially if you have a need to keep all your teeth.

    • waytngtym

WHEN? Question is what are we waiting for? I never held a gun but I am about to learn. First though I want/hope to be in marches and rallies as I just below mentioned, and a leader…Will you lead? We nned you, please

  • bjohnson55

Every one of us has to take to heart what that Vet said and how he said it. If we do not stand up and raise absolute Hell every chance we get then it is over for the 2nd amendment and it is over for freedom. Period, nothing left to say after that.

    • waytngtym

Except to stand up and raise hell about it ALL. Set one date in February in Atlanta and another one in April in DC, the first one rallies/speeches and the second one for a long march/demonstration for impeachment. People will come with ALL of their ideas. Has to be done.

      • bjohnson55

        Great idea…

        • waytngtym

Is rs in DC? Some of us could meet there Thurs after March for Life

True patriotism on display against erstwhile fascists…

  • armyvet10

While listening to this veteran, one can see the commitment forged by his strength in something bigger than himself. You find strength in the oath you take as a soldier, you find strength in knowing people from all walks of life sacrifice to protect the rights of those that aren’t capable of protecting their rights themselves. All Airmen, Marines, Sailors and Soldiers give up so much to protect these rights. Perhaps this air headed educator; and I use the term educator loosely, should remember that through the training and use of fire arms, the rights of all were won and are protected, even today. Tyranny never rests, and neither can any patriot rest or relax their guard or dare think these freedoms we have will remain past the day we give up the means to defend them. God bless all freedom loving people, God bless all that put themselves in harms way to protect these freedoms, God bless our veterans and God Bless The U.S.A. (Thank you Lee Greenwood for such a simple and beautiful song)

    • TexasPGRRider

God Bless you too army…THANK YOU for your SERVICE and my FREEDOM SIR !!!!

      • armyvet10

God bless us all. It was and is a privilege to serve this country in any capacity I can or could. Honor can be shown by wearing the uniform, standing as old glory passes by; or leading students in saying the pledge of allegiance. Any effort by anyone to the principles that keep freedom free is something worthy of praise and sacrifice. And thank you, for your kind and humbling words.

Another question to ask this type of mentality is:
So just what right can we do with out. Because if you rid us of one, you must rid us of all. Having said that. Who is the more important man Jesus Christ or Karl Marx. Watch the answer you get. It will rock your boat!

  • proudhispanicconservative

Bam!!!!!!!! That’s how you destroy the argument from a liberal idiot like that little phony columnist. May God bless our military, I have a dream that our military marches to Washington and take over the White House and take this phony president out of the white house. Once again its just a dream.

    • TexasEnforcer

A very, very good dream at that.

  • Landscaper

It’s good to see there are people like us still fighting for our Constitutional Rights! God Bless this man for his bravery! The 60’s crowd wants to strip away all things that make this great nation what it is. Never compromise with the enemy! Obama and those like him are the enemy of Freedom!

    • TexasPGRRider

PLEASE don`t stereotype the “60s crowd”. There are 58,195 names on a Wall in Washington DC who gave their lives and PLENTY MORE still around who are part of that “60s crowd” whose souls reflect the essence of what this One Nation Under God is all about !!! So PLEASE, PFFV, don`t stereotype the “60s crowd”. Peace be with you….

I hope this guy is no longer in the military, for if he is, he will be brought up on charges for wearing his uniform to this event. The ONLY people that can wear their uniform and SPEAK OUT are those who attend gay parades, this is Obama’s Immoral America.

He is a brave individual, but he will probably be less than honorably discharged. This is sad, for he is a true patriot.

    • TexasPGRRider

Although he is wearing a flight jacket, I don`t think he is wearing his uniform….

      • tinlizzieowner

I don’t think that’s a jacket, it looks to me like a flight suit (I’ve worn a few of them). It’s not a ‘uniform’ in the strictest sense, it’s more like work clothes.
If you look real closely at one of the long shots, you’ll see a blue belt with a gold buckle, his flight jacket would cover that.

        • TexasPGRRider

I see the collar of a brown shirt, possibly wool or flannel, blue trousers and a jacket, flyer`s, cold weather, 45/P. Note the cuffs.

          • tinlizzieowner

You could be right, I’m just making a speculation. I live in Florida, I don’t think about weather below 40 degrees. ;-)

  • guppymanster

What part of “shall not be infringed” do leftists not understand? Obama’s assinine speech yesterday was the same monologue echoed by Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro and numerous other dictators and quite boring. He may think that he’s the cat’s ass and I would agree with part of that, but he’s just another small, petty little man whose ‘fundamental change’ is to control every moment of our waking lives and this isn’t going to happen.

  • 26YearAFRetiree

They cannot even display the American Flag properly at the meeting. It shpuld be displayed to the speaker’s right according to the fag code. just another example of “leftist” leanings.

    • TexasPGRRider

I believe I`ve spotted a “Freudian slip” in this post that brings to mind reports of B.O.`s contacts, relationships, conduct, and activities while living in the Chicago area, including a particular “elite” private homo men`s club to which he holds a lifetime membership. Can anyone shed some light on this subject? I am NOT a fan of HERESAY !!!!

      • tinlizzieowner

I don’t know what Obama is but I do know he would join any ‘organization’ that he thought would benefit HIM.

  • 26YearAFRetiree

They cannot even display the American Flag properly. It should be displayed to the speakers right and no other flag shall take precedence according to the flag code. Another example how “left” the people from Chicago are.

    • tinlizzieowner

Thank you for your service, my Air Force ‘Brother’.

      • TexasPGRRider

And Thank you BOTH for your SERVICE and my FREEDOM SIRS!!!!

  • tinlizzieowner

If these useful idiots are so anti-gun, why haven’t the cleaned up the south side of Chicago, there are already plenty of laws that cover the ‘gun’ violence going on there?
Answer, they are situational hypocrites and nothing more.

Unless those criminals with illegal guns will be future (?) Civilian Army to take from those who have?

      • tinlizzieowner

Wouldn’t surprise me a bit if there wasn’t one or two ‘criminal’s rights’ lawyers on that stage. Don’t want to upset the money cart, ya know. ;-) ;-)

The kleptocrats in Sodom on the Lake will just as eagerly destroy the 1A rights after they get rid of the 2A. I sent Gov. Quinnocchio a letter asking him how many Firearm Owner ID holders have gone to jail v. Chicago aldermen and how many NRA and ISRA leaders are in prison v. IL governors. He did not reply.

  • dneuwen

it is definitely the imperative obligation of conservatives to debunk all the stupid and dangerous policies of the left but I think conservatives need not dance to the tune of the left as they set the agenda or the topic to be discussed in everyday news cycle. because by doing so conservatives always are in a position of defense by default. a better way to fight back is to set our own agenda or policies to be discussed, taking on the offensive by shifting the discussion to news that put the left on the defensive or bad light and unless very necessary, do not repeat the left’s spin, rhetoric or manipulative phraseologies intended to obfuscate their ulterior and nefarious motives.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/CZSU2D67ODNZOKEZYHXONQ4F5Y John

    FACTS for leftists?
    They never consider them.
They are blind, deaf, cannot smell (the gunpowder) and do not listen.

  • wmath44

As a veteran I don’t think the military would turn on the American people if the decided to overthrow this corupt goverment. That is what the 2nd amenement is all about dummy liberials.

Educational meeting? You call this educational you moronic lefties?

They are bound determined to start a civil war.

  • James1754

It is not an educational meeting when the people put on the meeting with the sole purpose to degrade their fellow citizens because those citizens do not agree with them.

    (gulp, here goes …)
The pontificating, self-righteous, revisionist “******” standing at the front of the room, with his nose slightly up, would, in the days of George RexIII, would be in dire physical distress.

The outspoken military veteran, was spot on, and should be on everybody’s ‘cup of joe’ list, and I suspect, a few would have him on their ‘in closet time with candle’ list, too.

Now, there is no such thing, nor has there been such a thing, until the Vietnam War, of questioning whether or not the 2nd amendment is ‘relevant for today’.

We are a Nation born OUT of Tyranny, through blood and violence. That is what makes us who we are, today. Europe has really, never, been without a shackle of some kind or other, throughout its entire history. THEY DON’T KNOW WHO TO DO IT.

The 2nd Amendment, is what Progressives, liberals, and the other ‘isms’ fear, because it provides the INDIVIDUAL the means to look ‘government’ in the eye, and say, ‘get fred!’, and have the wherewithal to defend that statement.

This Obama fellow, does not desire for Americans to be that ‘individual’. He enjoys having ‘government’, as God, and in the European fashion, at that.

My fellow Americans, those few words, all 27 words, say so much, that there can never be a Clintonian ‘what is ‘is’ definition. They are, what they are, and they mean, precisely, what they mean, and a lot of Americans have shed blood, and died, to protect those words and their meaning. Every stone at Arlington is a small proof of that.

The 2nd Amendment is not arbitrary. It is concrete, as our resolve should be, also, to be a Free and independent People, unshackled from a government that seeks to enslave us.

    Long Live The Republic.
