Carter Page was grilled by George Stephanopoulos this morning on whether or not he offered sanctions relief to anyone in the Russian government when he was over there last year. Here’s how that went:

Page says he never brought up sanctions relief nor offered it but can’t be sure if someone else mentioned it – which will come out in the transcripts if/when they are released.
At least in this interview, Page sounds genuine to me. People often can’t remember every word they said, especially in trips like this where you run into many people. And while he isn’t certain what someone else may have said to him, he’s unequivocal that he never offered relief to anyone.
