This is probably a good preview of what we’re going to be hearing from Rand Paul when he does his filibuster in the Senate to try and stop the Senate from voting to reauthorize FISA without constitutional protections added.
And it makes sense. Yes Paul Ryan is correct that this is about foreign surveillance of foreign actors. But as we’ve seen in the last year or more, Americans often get caught up in these conversations and it becomes a way to spy on Americans.
Jordan is right, the least they could’ve done was add the Amash amendment to require a warrant.
