A Democrat questioning Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly this morning told Kelly that building a wall on the southern border ‘made no sense’. Vela, the Democrat, then proceeded to ask a different question but was interrupted by Kelly who had an objection to his statement.

Absolutely a true statement and I love his frankness about it to Vela.
If you watch the full clip, clearly Vela is trying to attack the notion of a 2,000 mile wall and try and get Kelly to admit they don’t need it. But Kelly handles Vela very well, being very honest about the information he gets from the CVP and our needs for a wall on the border:
I love when he bluntly told Vela “I wouldn’t agree with that at all, no”, pointing out that a wall IS necessary and part of a layered defense.
Vela isn’t interested in trying to protect this nation, he’s just trying to get Kelly to undermine Trump and the wall so he can get on the news. But he failed and Kelly was excellent in the entire clip.
