WATCH: Katie Pavlich has a THEORY on Nunes having to step down from Russia investigation

Katie Pavlich was on with Fox News in the aftermath of the announcement that Nunes is stepping aside from the Russia investigation, along with her colleagues Matt Schlapp and Doug Schoen:

First, Schlapp makes a good point that this all comes from the Office of Congressional Ethics that Nancy Pelosi started 8 years ago. Remember the outcry earlier this year when Republicans tried to reform it?

So what Pavlich believes happened is that Democrats on the Hill in the House and the Senate went to these leftwing advocacy groups and told them to file charges against Nunes with this Pelosi-created ethics committee to force him to step aside.

And as Schlapp points out, they did it right when these Susan Rice revelations started to heat up.

It’s entirely plausible that they are right…and I suspect it’s quite likely, as this ethics committee is known for being used by anonymous sources to try and destroy the reputations of Congress members as Steve King explained earlier this year:
