Looking forward to it. Thanks Scoop! 🙂

I agree Absolutely! A great reminder of your rights…I’m envious from the Great White North!

First in the Nation: Beaufort County, NC Passes County Gun Law Nullification Resolution

    • NJK

Bravo. I’m waiting for my state VA to step up. They nullified the NDAA, and now they need to take action on this.

      • Rshill7

We nullified the NDAA in Michigan too.

    • I thought Montana passed something like this several years ago.

Yes, I just checked, it’s the Montana Firearms Freedom Act. Unless Ken knows something about this that the website doesn’t indicate, it looks like it’s been signed into law, as of April 15, 2009.

      • KenInMontana

There are a couple of bills working their way through the legislature, dealing with directing State and County law enforcement not enforce federal law, as we speak, I am still searching for the particulars. Several County Sheriffs have already stated they will not enforce any Federal gun bans. As to the MFFA, it is law here and the State has dared the Feds to challenge it, it’s purpose is two fold, to bolster rights and to challenge Federal misuse and misinterpretation of the Commerce Clause.

        • I hope more states get on board.

  • DCGere

Thanks for the info, hope to be able to hear it!

  • Ray

Our current system is completely broken, we need to get back to the constitution as written. The problem is the Supreme Court and their NOT interpretation of the law, but REinterpretation.

  • CrazyAZBiker

The Constitution doesnt need interpreting it needs following….

    • Joe

  • Joe

I hope the Chinese revolutionary you posted the other day is there too!

    • Wow. That was powerful. I missed that the other day. Wonder why the media wasn’t there. 🙂

      • Joe

Because it’s fact – They don’t like facts

  • CrazyAZBiker

I love the principles of 98! The Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions by Mr. Jefferson and Mr. Madison, You should read them if you havent. Tells you what nullification is about…

    • sDee

      Great information!

Many people today do not realize that the citizens and states would not ratify the Constitution because it afforded the government power but them no protections. Another fine Virginian smelled a rat.

      • TaimeAgair

And that’s because the liberals are swapping out our real American history for their propagandized, leftist version. If anyone has kids in public school, it’s up to you to make sure your kids understand our founding and the Constitution because they won’t know it when they graduate.

  • I love what the NRA stands for but they need to pour tons of money into PR and market research. Any focus group would have told them mentioning Obama’s kids in an ad is a huge mistake.

Having old white men as your spokesmen is not going to get the results you want, sorry, that’s just the reality of the world we live in and the people we need to persuade.

How about a single mom who uses a gun for protection? Or someone who was saved from a mass shooting by an armed civilian?

They should have had these commercials already taped well before Newtown.

Instead they’re probably wasting millions on junk mail.

    • sDee

mentioning Obama’s kids in an ad is a huge mistake.

The whole issue is about children. Did you see the ad? It was exactly what has to be said – the elitists have one standard and privilege for themselves and another for us. Their kids have the privilege of armed guards – ours do not. How can you make that essential argument without mentioning kids? Even your view that that the elitists can mention our kids but we not theirs, is “one standard for thee, another for me”. Someone has to have the guts to not back down to the thought and speech thuggery of our media and politicians.

How about a single mom who uses a gun for protection? Or someone who was saved from a mass shooting by an armed civilian?

The Second Amendment has nothing to do with those things. It was put in place by the people to stop a central government from taking away their right to protection from said government. LaPeirre and others have the courage to stand up and tell the truth – that that our Federal Government is attacking that Right because they intend to proceed and remove more of our inalienable rights.

Having old white men as your spokesmen is not going to get the results you want, sorry

I am confident that anyone so ignorant of liberty that they would only realize that the government taking their rights, when the message if it comes some young black guy, IS NOT THE INTENDED AUDIENCE for this. They would not get it anyway.

They should have had these commercials already taped well before Newtown.

You really do not understand a thing about the NRA. They are working incessantly in courts, in the industry and in government to stop those intent on destroying our inalienable rights. If you actually care about preserving you Constitutional Rights, join the NRA, send their legal fund some money, research them, then let’s hear back.

        10,000 likes for this post!

    • c4pfan

I don’t agree with you at all and they were not saying anything negative about Obama’s kids! You now can’t even bring their names up?!

    • proudhispanicconservative

Sorry to say it, I disagree with you, but the way they went about it, was absolutely the right way, we have to start fighting these nut jobs the same way they fight, which is below the belt, and it is never an attack when it just plainly points out the truth.

    • Deconstructionism.

Join the NRA, and stop trying to bog the effort down with this kind of crap.

    • fiznart

Jose: The NRA ad was exactly right on. All it was saying was if it is good for the President’s children then it is good for all our citizen’s children! There is nothing wrong with the ad – contrary to what the media would have you believe. The PR and marketing research did good! The NRA stands for principles and values including protecting “all” children – young and old!

    • Jay

So 0 can use children as human shields for his agenda while his elite kids have armed guards and everyone else goes without? Get real.

  • proudhispanicconservative

I wonder if Fox will carry this live, they went on, and on, yesterday with the Obama Coronation, its only fair if they would allow the NRA to respond.

    • NJK

I quit watching FOX about three years ago. They have lied about Zero through omission. It’s as though they think their children will not suffer the consequences of this man.

      • proudhispanicconservative

Me too I left them a long time ago, I was referring to what I have read.

      • TaimeAgair

Rupert Murdoch is for gun control and amnesty, and it shows in Fox’s programming. Red Eye and sometimes The Five is the only thing I really watch on Fox anymore. And who wants to watch several more years of Karl Rove and his 2 cents…ugh. It’s unfortunate, but I think they will eventually end up like CNN.

        • 57thunderbird

Same here.I only watch Red Eye when I can stay awake late enough to see it.I really like Gutfeld.

        • badbadlibs

I think Rove is a gone. Has anyone seen him since the election? Yeah, it’s sad that Fox has turned the left corner.

  • 12grace

The American people are sitting ducks if the obama government takes away their guns.

Nobel Peace Prize Nominee: Obama Asks Military Leaders If They Will “Fire On US Citizens”

Shock claim purported to come from “one of America’s foremost military heroes” and Prison

    • 57thunderbird

I would like to hear some of our resident veterans thoughts on this matter.

      • 12grace

I think obama wants to disarm our Veterans because obama senses that many Vets will defend our Constitution and the American people.

    • notsofastthere

Gen. Mattis and also 2 naval officers involved in Benghazi were removed. Simply a news blurb on them and no further investigation. Still no names given by the State Dept of those who escaped the Benghazi slaughter. Petreaus apparently blackmailed. Hillary and congress to continue the dog and pony show tomorrow.
We are pawns in their games and getting pretty sick of it.

    • Conniption Fitz

I’m for disarming the gangs in Chicago and LA and other major cities, the drug and human trafficking cartels operating in the US, and the terrorist cells and mosques in the US, and if necessary, by force whether they are US citizens or not.

I’m not sure however, that Obama and Holder would consent to disarming them because most are O’s sons and Holder’s people.

  • NJK

Litmus Test for Top Officers: Willingness to Fire on Americans

    • sDee

It would be consistent with Obama’s actions. It seems necessary to ascertain this before enacting gun confiscation.

I wonder then, why these removed officers are not speaking out publicly?

      • If they are high ranking officers they probably have some idea of what the CIA is involved with, and don’t want to be a target. They could also be stripped of their benefits.

      • KenInMontana

I think it’s more important to know where the NCO’s and enlisted stand on this subject, officer’s can scream orders all day long but , they only matter if the “men” follow them. Besides, “bad” officers are easily dealt with, if you get my drift.

  • Why can’t the GOP grow some cojones like LaPierre has? My gosh if they could just stand up & speak the truth, the left would never stand a chance!

    • La Pier tells the truth, but he always falls short of being specific as to the reasoning behind the right to bear arms. I have never heard him speak about government tyranny, and the citizens right to defend themselves from government. He is on the politician side of things, so I suppose that he keeps it mild for that reason.

    • notsofastthere

I heard Senator Barrasso tonight explaining why we had to give fighter jets, weapons, and billions to Moris of the Egypt Muslim Brotherhood. I thought Barrasso was a good guy, but he made me sick tonight. We won’t give Tiwan any help but Muslims is OK.
It is going to come down to We the people and not congress to set thing straight.

      • Jim Botts

Barrasso is an establishment RINO. Has been for a number of years on a host of issues.

Republicans in solid red states are some of this biggest RINOS out there. Corker and Alexander from Tennessee come to mind as I write this.

McConnell from Kentucky…. Good lord, you would think these guys were Republicans getting elected by the skin of their teeth in the Northeast.

        GOP is worthless.

      • waytngtym

And this needs to be demonstrated against. Pres. Morsi is the first, I believe, head of state scheduled to come to the US to see O. for his second term…coming in March. Needs a show of protest. It’s necessary, don’t you think??

  • wales777

If you have wondered why so many US Military Generals have been relieved of command lately, here is your answer. This is UNREAL!!!! Pass it on.

    • 57thunderbird

That is a very disturbing article, but not beyond belief with the current regime in DC.

      • wales777

It is indeed disturbing. Did Gen Petraus not pass the test? Did General McChrystal not pass the test either.

        • 57thunderbird

Good question.I would put nothing past this America hating regime. If this is true, then more of these officers need to step forward and speak up.

        • notsofastthere

If I read the article right, this question has been around since 1995. No General’s name was specifically mentioned, and no one came forward.
I do believe Obama would use this questionnaire to his advantage though.

    • Ray

for my 200th post I say, That article is pretty scary, I checked snopes and it says nothing.

      • wales777

Remember that Snopes is funded by a Soros fund. Just saying.

        • Ray

I know that many of their articles on WHY a quote is false is opinion, however some of the quotes that are attributed to the FF that are posted on Facebook are not true.

          • wales777

Then tell us what those untrue posts are.

  • Wayne is not a good speech giver, though I will say that the content of the speech was pretty good.

  • Ray

    Dang, I missed it!

    • c4pfan

      Me too!

  • Ray

Good Speech, glad you have replay!

  • c4pfan

Thanks scoop, because I missed it!

  • c4pfan

Short and to the point! Just the way I like speeches!

  • loriannringold

Wayne LaPierre speaks the truth. Freedom is not free and we are finding it is going to take a fight to keep it. Giddy up!!!!

  • marketcomp

Charlie Rangel says, “Some of Southern Areas Have Cultures We Have to Overcome”. What arrogance! Northern areas have the highest concentration of Black Americans who have out of wed lock babies, and those who are more educated are moving to the South. So perhaps it is the Northerners that need to re-evaluate because you are losing your population. In fact Southereners see the slow confication of of their rights, in particular of their right to bare arms and Northerners don’t even see it. So now who has the culture to overcome, Charlie Rangel.

  • Charm4sure

If only the GOP had La Pierre’s courage and clarity.

  • waytngtym

This was an amazing speech. I dearly hope many, many more in positions of influence will come out and give speech after speech after speech like this. This is heartening.

The most devious thing Obama has ever said (he keeps topping himself) is that those who disagree with him are “absolutists.” This from the man who wants to register and confiscate guns–the next most absolutist thing he could do, next to ordering the military to open fire and shoot on American citizens. What’s this technique called, ie. calling the kettle black?

Other posters put these below up, and I am forwarding them to every senator and congressman, to let them know WE know, and they better respond unequivocably.

    • Just one quick note to point out about your comment. When you said “…-the next most absolutist thing he could do, next to ordering the military to open fire and shoot on American citizens.”
He’s already doing that. Drones are part of the military and he is currently using them to kill Americans abroad without due process.

      • Biggbear52

Does that include the 2250+ Patriotic citizen’s that have either disappeared or been tossed in jail, with our cause. By means of drone computer programs designed to SPY on good God fearing American that have the, according to the imperial leader, to speak their mind against this tyranistic putz!
In fact at last count that number had reached 2362 American’s locked up for speaking up. Zuckerberg’s new search engine is part of this imperialistic NAZI party!
Just so you know. I am not in different to your view, I am merely augmenting it.

        • That’s exactly what I was pointing out, I was just too busy to do the research to get the actual numbers. Thanks for taking the time to enforce what I was trying to say.

  • waytngtym

Ok I just got a failure to send notice on one of my emails to a senator…what’s that generic address for senators and congressmen, anyone have it? thx

  • waytngtym

A quote from President Lincoln, from a speech given in Baltimore, April 18, 1864:

“The world has never had a good definition of the word liberty, and the American people, just now, are much in want of one. We all declare for liberty; but in using the same word we do not all mean the same thing. With some the word liberty may mean for each man to do as he pleases with himself, and the product of his labour; while with others the same word may mean for some men to do as they please with other men, and the product of other men’s labour. Here are two, not only different, but incompatible things, called by the same name–liberty. And it follows that each of the things is, by the representative parties, called by two differnt and incompatible names–liberty and tyranny..”

  • Jay

Hey Wayne, 0’s “nebulous and undefined” policies are clear to us. Good speech.

  • Biggbear52

Wayne spoke of principal and absolution. Obama’s absolution is that he refuses to allow any principal to enter into his or his families lives. This is extremely sad when you consider that the two girls in that home, if you can call it that, have had every single choice they ever though they had, DICTATED TO THEM. They will always know conceit and fear as that has been my experience when dealing with those of this type of mind set. My eldest sister thinks that this BOY is the next best thing since sliced bread. We can be quip and jovial about this at this point, but that would be a form of oblivious acception which can not be tolerated!
He called Obama President. I have not and will not call him that. I do call him Od1ldo or Mr. Obama but nothing else nor will I. Ronald Reagan, while in the Office of the Presidency never removed his suit coat while in the White House. In fact from the time he dressed himself till he went to bed, he wore that suit and coat.. He exclaimed that the reason for that was because the office and the White House belonged to the people. That the people were his employer and they deserved his utmost respect!!
Will the walking pile of vile do that for his employers?

  • 1endtimes2020

God given ‘inalienable’. not ‘unalienable’ rights. Obama knew the difference. Unalienable means ‘no rights’.
I saw a iberal reporter say how ridiculous it was that the rightwing would want more guns in schools instead of fewer. I would say to that reporter, “You don’t consider putting yourself in the position of being defenceless while someone, or two or more gunman are after YOU or your child in school. You would soon change your mind about having your own gun in a circumstance like that, instead of possibly dying where you stand.
St. Pierre said the same thing he always says, but the stubborn heads have an agenda. Too many liberals cannot even contemplate that Obama is out to remove democracy as we know it now, from America. They have a respect for the office of the Presidency, but can’t get past their ideological blind loyalty, to see the danger Obama is taking them to.
I wish St. Pierre would have talked about that. Yet, maybe he thinks more about the politics than a possible agenda.

  • 911Infidel

O’Bammy sees the Constitution as a document of negative liberties. That his buzz phrase for his thinking that our rights come from government not from God. He wants all political power to rest with the President not with the people, the states of Congress. He is a totalitarian wanna-bee in the mold of Chavez and Castro. If we are going to tell the Kenyan usurper “molon labe”, he needs to understand that those words….unlike his… are not empty.

  • bongobear

Doesn’t this headline reference one of our biggest problems as a country? ‘Reid may allow…’. This guy has too much power.

  • If believing that God-given rights CANNOT BE INFRINGED by the Government makes me an ‘absolutist’, then I R 1.

  • stage9

“(absolutism)…is the basis for all civilization.”

Liberals are uncivilized savages so it is no wonder they dismiss absolutes.

  • Rshill7
  • Barack Obama is saying that the only principled way to make children safe is to make is to make lawful citizens less safe and violent criminals more safe.

Statist (a.k.a. Liberal) irrational rationale in a nutshell.

There’s[sic] only two reasons for a Federal list on gun owners. To either tax ’em or take ’em.

I expect Benghazi Obama wants to do both.

Brilliant of LaPierre to take Obama’s attempt at insult (Absolutist) and embrace it for the virtue it really is.

  • TonyToye

Love this guy, LaPierre, why can’t Republican House Reps stand up to obama like he just did. Are they that scared of him…

  • Remember Obama said, “The gun laws of Chicago should be the model for the nation”.

  • scrubjay

The problem with believing that there are no absolutes is that you can never be absolutely sure that there are no absolutes.

    • TerryinFL

      That’s absolutely correct!!

  • There are glitches in the recording, that give that “Tivo Thunderstorm Jamup” look, unfortunately, in the middle of patches of the meat of the speech.

Thanks, Scoop, but I will find his speech, then comment, (techie thingie probably not your fault).
