In the aftermath of the media smearing Trump over his remarks calling MS-13 animals, a reporter today asked Trump to clarify his remarks.
Here’s what Trump had to say:
"I am referring to the MS-13 gangs that are coming in. I was talking about the MS-13 and if you look further under the tape you will see that." President Trump clarifies "These aren't people, these are animals" comment. https://t.co/souzfNvTGc pic.twitter.com/DwupoA1YmM

I love how he first points out that his remarks shouldn’t need clarifying because many got them right.
Then he proceeds to double down, saying at the end “I referred to them as animals and guess what? I always will!”
Boom!
Okay, go ahead and consider this an open thread.
UPDATE:
If you at all liked Trump’s response, you’ll love this from Sarah Sanders:
.@PressSec: "If the media and liberals want to defend MS-13, they're more than welcome to. Frankly, I don't think the term @POTUS used was strong enough… It took an animal to stab a man 100 times and decapitate him and rip his heart out." pic.twitter.com/6O7KKzZW0y
