As you all know I’m not fan of Peter King whatsoever. He’s a despicable Congressman as far as I’m concerned after the way he treated Ted Cruz in the last election cycle.
But his words do carry weight as he is on the intelligence committee and his explanation of why this is not a story does make sense:

King points out that as of now there is just no evidence of collusion or criminal activity. Plus he also points out that this report from the NY Times is basically a rehashing of the a report from months ago.
Further, he says everyone knew Manafort had connections to Russia last summer and he was out of the campaign a long time ago.
He basically dismisses Roger Stone’s connections to Russia just because he knows him and says he doesn’t even know who Carter Page is.
But he does tell CNN that they are investigation Russia and if evidence comes out that they will absolutely pursue it.
