This is a preview for a town hall tonight on MSNBC where Ted Cruz sits down with Chuck Todd in Buffalo, NY.
Todd asks Cruz if he regrets calling McConnell a liar on the Senate floor, given that it hasn’t sat well with his Senate colleagues.
Here’s what he said:
He’s absolutely right! Nobody in DC cares that McConnell lied, rather they are only upset that Cruz pointed it out to everyone. How ridiculous is that!
Not to compare Ted Cruz to Jesus, but it does remind me of something Jesus said to the Pharisees:
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean.”
That is perfectly analogous to Washington DC, exactly what Cruz is talking about.
