WATCH: Ted Cruz shares story of killing by illegal in NEW Arizona Ad

Ted Cruz is airing a new heartfelt ad in Arizona that tells the story of Steve Ronnebeck’s son, killed by an illegal who was let go by ICE:

Ronnebeck, 21, was killed in January 2015 while he was working at a convenience store. Authorities say a man who was in the U.S. illegally tried to purchase cigarettes, but then shot Ronnebeck when he tried to count the money he was given, according to The Arizona Republic.

In the ad, Ronnebeck explains that the death of his son was entirely preventable.
