Great trailer on a movie that will have record receipts IMO. I’m looking forward to seeing it.

Another blockbuster like The Passion of the Christ? It sure looks like it!

…Glory and Praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ , his word will be spread through out the Nations one way or another . Praise God the Father.”

  • ODA315

These look like scenes from the mini series. Did they just put together the last several episodes dealing with Christ and call it a movie?

  • Shane Behling

    This was on TV?

Only fools say in their hearts their is no God in heaven who intervenes in the affair’s of men and we’re encompassed by many fools.

If it is the mini series put to movie form….well, I couldn’t get past all the made up stuff in the mini series.
Leave the Word of God alone, the world doesn’t need “artistic license”, they need The Truth and His Name is Jesus.
However, satan looking like Obama was a nice touch. 😉

‘Leave the Word of God alone, the world doesn’t need “artistic license”.’
Bingo! The Bible miniseries, lauded by many relatives and friends, was a disgrace. I did not think the series great at all. Yes, the series srevealed a great hunger for such on-screen portrayals. But why rape great stories with Jackie Chan angels and African Samsons (and I’m black)?

And besides, the travails of Christ shouldn’t be portrayed just as another play or action movie. Any attempt to do so is blasphemy really. (But hey. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not about to behead anybody or assault an American embassy for it.) I despise these attempts by Hollywood. Greed, bread and circuses are the motives, not the Truth. They’re going to butcher the history of our Lord’s time on this earth, as well as the account of Noah. Yay! Goody. Can’t wait. Not.

I, for one, wont be watching any of these movies.

    • Conservative_Hippie

      That was good, bad! 😉

    • Laurel

LOL! I didn’t know it was from the Bible series.

    • Army_Pilot1967

I watched the trailer and it looked very familiar. Not recalling that it was on television…there for a minute or two I though I was clairvoyant. Thanks for that reminder as I had forgotten where I had seen it.

  • PNWShan

I found this: “Son of God, set to hit theaters Feb. 28, will include footage from the hit television series The Bible as well as new scenes.” The trailer looks good, and I didn’t see non-Biblical stuff in the trailer. Hopefully, they haven’t added extra-Biblical stuff to the movie.

  • Conservative_Hippie

Thanks for this RS! I did not know about this movie.

  • Conservative_Hippie

I love the smile on this version of Jesus, very heartwarming. I can see Jesus having that type of smile, and an expression where he can speak with eyes. And of course, we all know Jesus spoke the King’s English 😉

    • Army_Pilot1967

“And of course, we all know that Jesus spoke the King’s English.” LOL. It appears everyone in HIs day spoke the King’s English. That’s a lot more convenient than having to read sub-titles.

  • Laurel

I will probably go see it but I am leery because I sobbed all the way through Passion of the Christ.

And yes I still cry watching “King of Kings”. I can’t help it. I try not to but I can’t seem to stop it.

  • sjmom

This actor plays an excellent Jesus role. If it plays near me I will go to see it but if not I’ll buy the DVD.

If the same Production Team behind ‘The Bible’ series blockbuster from a year ago is behind this Production, I predict huge success here also

IMV, there is a concerted plan by Team Restorers to include The Culture and The Media also within the Restoration GOAL – , perhaps believing (as I do) that Constitutional America cannot be restored unless all 3 aspects are included:

I think there are indications that a multitude of Americans REALLY WANT their Culture restored, …consider these successes over the past year:

IMV, the decision from Hallmark wrt their Christmas programming is reflective of a wider cultural rumbling that is in effect. Back in March we saw the blockbuster success of “The Bible” series which played on the History Channel, and already NBC have announced that they will be screening a sequel in the future. (although it would need to be produced by the same (or a similar) crowd to be successful)

Also, look at the huge success of ‘The Sound of Music – LIVE’ recently, which beat out the usual cultural icons:

    (tweeted by @tvnewser)

Big night for @nbc with #TheSoundofMusicLive 3-hour event averaged 18.47M viewers, nearly doubling @CBS which averaged 9.5M

“So, *ABC Family* comes in SECOND after ESPN…… after the amazing ratings success of NBC’s The Soun…” — Exodus2011

There has also been ‘this’ from Aaron Kutcher:

Ashton Kutcher shares his secret | SmarterLifestyles – this American guy’s influence can combat the corrupted Miley’s

also, recently, the intimidatory tactics being employed by the GLAAD
Stalinists against a cultural icon, Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson,
caused huge pushback from the General Public, and The Public WON (DEO

and, helped by the scene below (witnessed by 40 million + Americans nationwide) late in 2008 (first cross-over of pro-life numbers) plus the Gosnell Horror Show in 2013, we have a huge cultural swing wrt the abortion issue.

Keep fighting back America… I don’t think any of this is happening ‘by chance’ ….

Look at the picture of Sarah Palin holding her beloved little boy.
      Look again.
THAT is the biggest reason of all why the left despises her and set out to destroy her and have never let up. She walks the talk.
As Christians, we know we don’t fight against flesh and blood. The very same demonic spirit behind the first murder is still at it. Destroying God’s gift of life before that gift has a chance to live saves that despicable spirit a lot of time and effort. Only God knows what blessings to the Kingdom were destroyed while still in his or her mother’s womb.

As 1 man damned us all, 1 Man has saved us all. We, whether we know it or not, are no longer slave to sin…There was a time not too long ago when I would whisper to myself a simple phrase: “Sin is no longer my master…” For Jesus undid what Adam wrought upon mankind all those millennia ago. We simply have to believe and “I” need to start saying that phrase again, for I have failed miserably…LOL

He changed the world and satan’s and his little minions are trying to unchange it.

TBH, I can’t really bear to watch these movies. I am happy they’re getting made and are popular. They just seem very unrealistic and cliche to me. Couldn’t they stray from the normal remarkable appearance of Christ and give him an ordinary and unremarkable look (Isaiah 53)? Couldn’t they do it without the British, King James accents? Ugh.

  • Sentinel

    He can’t return soon enough…

These are the exact same scenes from the History Channel series last year. With all due respect, I will gladly pass on this. The ‘artistic license’ was nothing short of outrageous. Mary Magdalene was NEVER in the boat with the Apostles. And there were many other egregious offenses. Was it necessary to insert PC into Holy Scripture? Give me Jim Caviezel any day of the week. That is a real man!

  • jay l

Im pretty sure Jesus wasnt a european looking white man.I think if youd like to see what he looks like google akiane kramarik.

  • el_polacko

looks like an outtake-padded rehash of the cheesy, low-budget tv series that thrilled easily-impressed viewers. will they pay to see the same stuff again ? … probably.
