The TedNado appears to be driving the congressional Trump train, as he’s all on board with the Trumpgenda, and warning other politicians to join.
Sen. Ted Cruz on Friday warned that Republicans could face significant losses in the 2018 midterm elections if they fail to enact any major part of their agenda.
“If we do nothing, if tax reform crashes and burns, if Obamacare nothing happens, we could face a bloodbath. I think we have the potential of seeing a Watergate-style blowout,” the Texas Republican said at a Koch brothers donors meeting at the St. Regis Hotel in New York.
Let’s see, Bannon says he’s gonna target every incumbent Republican, except Cruz… hmmm.
I’m not sure this bloodbath stuff is correct. The success rate for incumbent members of congress running for re-election is pretty high. Yes, congress as a whole has low approval ratings, but every constituency loves THEIR particular rep, as dumb as that is. On the other hand, it does appear that Trump has a vice-like grip on the GOP base.
But will they follow Bannon supposedly pushing the Trump agenda while ignoring Trump HIMSELF pushing the establishment candidate? I guess the civil war will at least be entertaining…
