Joe Walsh ain’t screwin’ around on this whole Gold Star widow scandal. He says that by coming out publicly and criticizing Trump, Myeshia has now made herself fair game for attacks.
Trump never attacked her.

Yes, Myeshia Johnson has a right to speak. But now that she's gotten political, we have a right to attack her. https://t.co/ZWJfhKJG0Y
He makes it clear in further tweets that he means “political” attacks, not physical ones.
Going public with this private call is an attempt by his enemies to attack Trump politically.

They are the ones using this gold Star widow.
In America, we have a right to question & criticize a Four-Star General, and we have a right to question & criticize a Gold-Star widow.
— Joe Walsh (@WalshFreedom) October 23, 2017
Remember: We wouldn't know ANYTHING about this private call if not for that goofy Congresswoman & now the widow.
— Joe Walsh (@WalshFreedom) October 23, 2017
THEY took it public.
Gold Star widows are special people. And so are 4 Star Generals. But ANYBODY who goes public and gets political is open to criticism. https://t.co/EsCElUirIr

Yes, here’s the difference – generals earn that respect by something that they did. They earned that respect through hard work and their service. But a Gold Star widow is a victim of circumstance. Generals choose their respected station in life – Gold Star widows are tragically forced into a position they never wanted to be in.
That doesn’t mean she’s beyond criticism. That means you should just suck it up, be a better man, and move on instead of going on the attack. If only we had a president that would do that.
