Yesterday was a good day for Trump in that he worked to save the butts of three UCLA players who got caught shoplifting in China. It was a great gesture on his part and we said as much.
But Trump just can’t let it end there with doing a good deed. Today he goes on Twitter and pretty much demands that the three UCLA players thank “President Trump”:
Do you think the three UCLA Basketball Players will say thank you President Trump? They were headed for 10 years in jail!

Ugh. What a putz. They just landed around 14 hours ago after all and Trump is already tweeting about this? He doesn’t even give them a chance to say thank you before he is already criticizing them for not doing so.
Here’s some Twitter reaction:
The presidency is not a favor machine. https://t.co/G1VnfOuVGG

How pathetically insecure and endlessly needy do you have to be to tweet this as president of the U.S.? What a childhood he must have had! https://t.co/y6H0eHbSkB

And of course here’s the spin from some of the Trump supporters:
This is Genius. Since the Mainstream Media won't cover this story Trump tweets something controversial about the topic to get them to cover it. They fall for it every time. BRILLIANT! https://t.co/j5BqKLBztX
