A woman got out of a traffic stop by appealing to the emotions of a veteran trooper and he ended up letting her go. But when he attempted to validate her story, that her father was in the hospital with stage 4 cancer and breathing six times a minute or something, he couldn’t. In fact, he found her father’s obituary from 2008. He then found that her vehicle registration had been suspended, something he would have known had he not let her go early.
So a few days after the traffic stop he went to her home and arrested her.
