Rep. Dave Brat was on CNN a few moments ago and did everything he could to keep from saying Trump is at fault for how he’s dealing with Sessions.

I don’t disagree with Brat in how he characterized the media’s part with their 24/7 Trump/Russia coverage. Trump is in a corner and he’s right to be upset about the constant drumbeat coverage as well as the fact that his own Attorney General has been taken out of the game via a recusal.
However that doesn’t make it ok for Trump to publically humiliate his own AG. Brat isn’t saying it does, but by not blaming Trump at all he’s basically giving him a break for it, which I disagree with. If Trump is good enough to be POTUS, then he should handle himself like one regardless of the unfair coverage. And if he doesn’t then it’s fair game to criticize him for it.
That said, I do get that Brat doesn’t want to keep throwing wood on the fire because he realizes Trump is in a difficult position and I can respect that. It is a politically toxic environment and the media has had it in for Trump since the day he was elected and the last thing he wants to do is add to it. Ok.
Also he’s made his point clear that he doesn’t think Trump should fire Sessions which puts him on the right side of the issue.
