WOW: Trey Gowdy goes OFF on James Comey’s “weasely” book promo “morality tour” (VIDEO)

“I DON’T THINK JESUS COULD WIN THAT CASE.” That’s one of the better lines from the below clip of Congressman Trey Gowdy’s biting commentary about James Comey from Friday’s “Special Report.

You’ll have to watch the clip for the context, I don’t want to spoil it. Some other great lines include calling this a “morality tour”, calling it “weasely” and calling Comey “sneaky.”

But also it’s worth pointing out that he still asserts the trustworthiness of Robert Mueller and his investigation. Also, he doesn’t take the bait to indulge in the latest conspiracy theory floating around on the right, which is that Comey and Clapper concocted an intelligence briefing on the dossier simply as a trap or setup to give CNN an excuse to report on the sexual allegations about Trump. Bret sets him up for it, but the Congressman doesn’t dive in. In fact he mildly agrees with Comey’s sentiment that the briefing was necessary.

All around great interview, as Gowdy appearances usually are.

I love the remarks about Loretta Lynch and the duplicity and relativism with regard to the treatment of Obama’s interferences vs. Trump’s. The best thing about Gowdy is the calling ’em like he sees ’em. He doesn’t cater to or grovel before anyone.

A cowboy, you might say.
