Some people are slapping their foreheads over a quote in a new book from David Plouffe, Obama’s campaign manager in 2008.
He says that they were really targeting Donald Trump in their jokes for the White House Correspondents’ dinner. It was a strategy to help them win in 2012.

I mean, 7 years later, looking back, it’s amazing that such a tiny decision to target Trump could result in the vast majority of Obama’s legacy being undone and erased.
And they did it because they thought it would be good for them! LOL!!
