    CUT THEM DOWN!! NOW!!

  • Nukeman60

Oh boy. It’s GAME ON. Come on Mark Levin. Give the call. I’ve got my wire cutters, a traveling bag, a full tank of gas and I’m ready to go. I’ve never been to the memorial.

    It’s about time I did.

    • tinlizzieowner

If you bring wire cutters, they will try to bust you for carrying a concealed weapon. We all know that the National Park Police aren’t the one’s pushing this. And we all know who is. ;-) ;-)

      • Nukeman60

Maybe some industrial strength nail clippers. I hear we can finally take them on airplanes again without the fear of nail clipping the plane to Cuba.

      • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanDuckie

Would they be considered conceal if we carry them out in the open ;)

        • tinlizzieowner

Might have to check and see if DC is a ‘wire cutter free zone’. I think we have already established that DC is a ‘common sense free zone’, since Barry and Co. hit town. ;-) ;-)

          • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanDuckie

            Lol of course!

    • Laurel

I have airline miles…and yes it is time you go see those memorials!!!!

    • Patriot077

Unfortunately Mark is going to a wedding in CA today and won’t be on air again until Tuesday. Dan Bongino has his mic tonight, so he will be all over it.

  • PNWShan

Hey, it’s not barbed wire … yet.

Didn’t one of the Congressmen say something about how they are allowed to “inspect” the memorials at any time, and that he could use that to bring the vets in? I think it’s time to do that. Meanwhile, check out the picture on Lucianne: http://lucianne.com/

    • Galatiansch2vs20

I hope a number of Congressmen ‘inspect’ this memorial, with thousands of veterans as volunteer consultants!

  • MiketheMarine

We need to cut them and surround the white house with them while Maobama isn’t home. That would be a whoot

    • sDee

we are half a days drive away. And will be there.

    • senior74

I saw a cartoon this morning, the jest of it is “if Obama can put up wire around monuments & etc (colonial house also isn’t funded by gov) why don’t we put up wire around the white house sometime when he’s out golfing?”

      • MiketheMarine

I missed the cartoon but I WILL take the credit for it. LOL
Plus, he golfs so much, we would have plenty of time to do it.

      • sallyjohanna

        Ohhhh, only if we could…perfect!

  • Laurel

Did y’all catch where they tried to close Mount Vernon that is privately owned and run?!

Only in America do we hire the lowest common denominator to work for We the People.

    • Carol McIntyre

The WWII Memorial is privately funded.

      • tinlizzieowner

Right but it’s operated by the National Park Service, (they empty the trash cans, or something).

      • Laurel

Correct. I donated heavily to get it built but it is maintained with some federal dollars and on federal park land and your post has nothing to do with what I posted.

      • NJK

It belongs to the people, not this Muslim,Commie,POS, in the White House.

      • Patriot077

Yes. Built with private funds with a maintenance fund established to boot. No reason for this other than pure malevolence.
I heard also that our military overseas have had their sports channels cancelled “to save money”. AHoles with a capital A.

    • aposematic

Lowest Common Denominator…Sadly so very true!

  • az

This shows that Americans freedoms are gone for the most part, we are so close to living in a police state.

    • tinlizzieowner

That’s exactly where Barry want’s us to be. He’s just itching for a real insurrection so he can declare Martial Law and elect himself President-for-life.

  • tinlizzieowner

Hey Barry, when does the Berlin Wall go up? If you and your flunkies spent one tenth the time securing the Border as you have spent messing with this monument, we might actually get somewhere.

    • Myptofvu

It’s already up…it’s called FATCA..its hard to leave a country if you can’t get any money out.

    • Galatiansch2vs20

      Call this
      ‘Barack’s Barricade’.

    • mapache

That is rich. The border is not secure but the WWII memorial is…

      • tinlizzieowner

Illegals, come on in. Vets, ‘back of the bus’.

      • PVG

        Brilliant!

  • tinker_thinker

I’d say that’s laying a big finger on the vets ~ Mark say the word!

  • tinlizzieowner

Hey Barry, the folks visiting that memorial remember what Honolulu looked like before your ‘Hippie’ mother and her Communist parents showed up, you arrogant SOB.

I’m up at the VA again, trying to post on I-phone again, bear with me. :-/

    • Jasper Silvis

OMG! You see how many people were standing on top of their trucks with no seat belts! How dare you share this with the nanny state generation! :-)

      • tinlizzieowner

I know, how did my parents generation ever live long enough to have children. ;-) ;-)

    • sallyjohanna

Thanks, wonderful, that made me tear up! One of my husband’s Uncles was in the Navy in the Pacific, The other in Europe in the Infantry. My father in law was in civil service as an electrician for military airport run ways.

      • tinlizzieowner

My real dad was Navy Air in WW2. I don’t know where he served, he crashed his Crop Duster and died in 1952, when I was 7 years old. My stepdad was an Army MP in Germany at the end of the war. My mom was a ‘Rosie the Riviter’ at Stewart Field, West Point NY.
Both my parents were officers in the Civil Air Patrol after the war.
All 3 of them are gone now. My mom was the last to go, she died in April 2010 at 89 years old.

        • Patriot077

It’s no wonder you are such a wonderful patriot, TLO. You have great roots and genes! Thanks for the video. It made me tear up too.

          • tinlizzieowner

My real dad and my mom lived (and died) aviation. Like I said, my dad crashed his Crop Duster, when I was a kid. My mom used to go the local Air Show with the wife and I every year. In 2010, we went over to pick her up to go to the air show and she said she just didn’t feel like doing all the walking and stayed home. She looked fine, so we went without her, that was 9:30 am. At 11:00 am I got a call from my daughter who had gone over to visit her grandma. She said, “Grandma is laying on the floor and she’s cold”. She had a heart attack and died instantly, on the day of the Air Show. I don’t think that was a coincidence, ;-(

            • Patriot077

So sad, TLO though you know who was waiting for her. She had her own “Air Show” to attend. The Blue Angels so to speak. I’m sure you will miss her forever but have many great memories to take you through the rough patches.
That’s how I want to go when my time comes. I lost my Mom from cancer and it’s terribly hard to deal with a loved one’s wasting away in pain. She was anxious to join my Dad and I felt blessed to have been able to be with her during her last weeks. No matter how old we get, we aren’t old enough to prepare to lose our parents.

              • tinlizzieowner

My mom and I had to ‘pull the plug’ on my step dad in 2003. I know what you’re talking about. :-(

                • Patriot077

Early in our marriage my husband had to make that decision with his Mom at the end of his Dad’s life. Never an easy decision for anyone. My folks both got cancer which still shocks me because they lived such clean industrious lives. My Dad has been gone for 30 years this fall and I still miss, miss, miss him! He was a real life John Wayne to me. Gentle spirit but true grit.

                • tinlizzieowner

Funny you should mention that. My step dad had a life sized ‘True Grit’ John Wayne movie theater card board statue, in his office for the longest time. I don’t remember what ever happened to it?

            • sallyjohanna

Amazing..I shared on here before how we are convinced my Dad faced a death panel. From the night he passed, I was given signs right up until I came home..the last sign came in the morning, we were having our coffee and I noticed a very large and unusual hawk siting on our back fence. Next thing I realize he is trying to land on the very small Rock City bird house on our tree…Dad was born in Chattanooga,TN and bought me that bird house when he was down for a visit. I knew that was the end of them.

I never thought about signs before, but they were so comforting to me…that I treasure them.

Sounds like it comforts you..like a sign! God bless them!

              • tinlizzieowner

My step dad’s intestines failed. He probably could have been kept alive (on tubes and equipment) forever but he was a 240lb Military Policeman in WW2 with the nick name ‘One Punch Robinson’. Tough, blunt, independent, and too the point, to the day he died.
I looked in his eyes while he was laying in that hospital bed unable to speak because of the tubes in his mouth, grabbed his hand and said “You don’t want to go out this way, do you”. He squeezed my hand. My mom and I went outside with the doctor and I asked him a blunt question. “Is there any possibility my dad will ever leave this hospital?” The doctor said “No”. We told the doctor to shut the machines off and let him go with a little dignity. :-(
He never laid a hand on me while I was growing up even though I made his life miserable. He could have given up on me any time but that wasn’t his style. I thank God every day he lived long enough for me to finally grow up and thank him for his firm but fair hand on me.
My mother once asked him why he always chewed me out when I did ‘wrong’ but never praised me when I did ‘right’? His answer was simple and to the point, as it always was. “He’s supposed to do right”.
His answer has stuck with me, all my life.

        • sallyjohanna

My husband was born the year after VJ Day. He was a Destroyerman in Navy 68-70. We are eight yrs apart, I had an Uncle in Korea. My sister did the family tree and we have Revolutionary War vets and Civil War vets that was a wonderful surprise…I know it is time consuming but for us it was worth it…we knew Mother and Dad sides went back away but we had no idea how far.
I feel very grateful to have been born in the time I was…loved my husband’s family like they were blood. Like you, they are almost all passed..still have my Mom and 8 siblings. It is true they are the Greatest Generation, and we are loosing them rapidly. So glad I was there to benefit from their wisdom!

          • tinlizzieowner

I’m only 2nd generation American. All of my grandparents immigrated here (legally, through Ellis Island), in the early part of the 20th century.

            • sallyjohanna

Same for my husband both sides, from Germany and Poland at the turn of the Century.

              • tinlizzieowner

My (late) mother’s father was from Italy, her Mother was from France and my (late) dad’s parents were both from Ireland.

                • sallyjohanna

Go Irish…my Dad’s side. Both as well, they came over early though. We had a very impressive ancestor..he helped found New Haven colony..in 1639. But he ended up in disgrace for bad behavior at the end of his life, the colony hung him. That is the thing with Ancestry you have to be prepared to be accept anything…LOL

                • tinlizzieowner

My Irish grandpa on my dad’s side was a little less dramatic. He was a NY Postman for 20 years. ;-) ;-)

                • sallyjohanna

                  Fun sharing ;)

  • Carol McIntyre

Classy, Barry. Real classy. Thanks for once again showing your true colors!

Big challenge to Levin and probably Beck – and Palin – I hope they collect the herds and do a stomping feast.

I’ve got a heavy duty pair of cutters that’ll have it open in no time!
These ba$tards have more freaking nerve to keep Veterans from visiting their Memorial than they do in keeping illegals and terrorists from flowing through our southern border!!!! Get them all out! Leave Cruz, and Lee and a couple of others, but get all the REST OUT NOW!!!!!!! UnConstituional treasonous crap freaking weasles!

    • nibblesyble

  • nibblesyble

I just read a tweet that Lowes wants to help…warms my heart to see everybody banding together for the Vets. On the other hand, my blood boils that Despot Barry keeps thumbing his nose at those that fought for the Country.

    • Jasper Silvis

Lowes would see increased sales if they gave free wire cutters with your purchase of $20 or more, or sold wire cutters for 80% off, something large to get media attention.

      • nibblesyble

I agree, they know what side to be on in this debacle!
        I

  • steprock

They really are making a battleground of this aren’t they? Alamo much?

  • NJK

When will they do something about him. When will he be arrested as the infiltrator he is? The Egyptian newspaper said he is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, yet no one takes this seriously. He is working with the left and this is part of their stealth Jihad.

He and the left have been committing a five year act of terror, not using their conventional weapons, like bombs, but who needs them when someone will not question you when you usurp the White House? Why won’t someone take this seriously? It’s like when Hitler was killing all of the Jews and others, and people in Germany refused to believe it. I remember seeing a documentary on the Military Channel, with Patton forcing Germans to come to see the dead bodies, and he said to them, “look what you did.” Where is our General Patton? Don’t we have real Generals anymore? Are they social workers, or what?

    • Betsey_Ross

It’s up to We the People. Take your wire cutters and go to DC. Generals have retirement plans that can be pulled by the preezy.

  • http://black-avenger-1.livejournal.com/profile VirusX

Yeah, guys that bellied onto Omaha Beach are going to be deterred by wire.

    • nibblesyble

      Lol…so true!

  • colliemum

The wire cutters will be there, I’m 100% sure! And I’m sure people other than veterans will yield them. This is the weekend – more people are free to come and take back what belongs to them, not to Obama.

But the politicians and Governors need their backs strengthen, if not being given a good kick up their backsides!

I read that the Governor asked DC if they could open the Grand canyon if they pay with state money.
    Nope, not allowed.
Why the heck didn’t they do it anyway, without asking permission? What can Obama do to them? Stick them all in prison?

As long as you all make a big stink about Obama’s petulance, everywhere, even the DC meejah will have to take note – never mind all the Congress critters who know full well they’ll have to face you a ll in one year’s time.

    • Stehekin912

Ignore the brat. This is our America.

  • sallyjohanna

This is how a tyrant acts…we are in the hands of tyrants! They won’t negotiate, They use the IRS to intimidated us, they will use anything, even causing pain to innocent citizens to smear the opposition.

  • http://wolfiehowls.com/ Wolfie

I agree with a lot of comments here. I have to watch my words. I’m so angry I could get booted from Scoop if I wrote what I’m thinking about with regard to Little Barry.

Barry’s Regime are moaning about cost of keeping them open. Anyone got a link on the cost of keeping them closed? Those “guards” and barriers didn’t magically transport themselves there. I’m only making a guess here, but I’ll bet it’s probably costing 10 times as much to keep it closed as it would to keep it open.

Not that Barry gives a darn! He’s never shown any respect for Anything American, why would he start with showing respect for the greatest generation?

The whole nonsense with the NObama regime Barrycading the WW2 memorial and denying those old soldiers their RIGHT to go and honor fallen comrades and remember them in quiet prayer at their own memorial got me extremely riled up! I hear Mark Levin talking about bringing half a million to DC to support the old soldiers, I see talk of truckers bring 2 million and bikers bringing 2 million! I want to see all those good Patriots escort those old soldiers to their WW2 memorial and lets see if Barry’s Stormtroopers have the gall to try and stop them!

God bless ALL our troops, past, presently serving, retired, those who are just beginning a life of honor in the military and of course those who are already with Jesus in Heaven!

    • nibblesyble

Well done Wolfie! And Amen too!

    • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanDuckie

Wolfie!! What big teeth you have! While its kind of scary, I know you’re on my side! :) WELL SAID Brother!!!

      • http://wolfiehowls.com/ Wolfie

Wolves are one of the most loyal animals alive! :-)

    • Nukeman60

Well said, Wolfie, as usual. Your words ring true in so many ways and to so many ears. This event just may be the spark to start the march to get our country back to where it belongs – honoring our vets and respecting our fallen heroes.

  • http://wolfiehowls.com/ Wolfie

It’s time for Curz, Lee, Bachmann, Palin et, al. To stand up! THEY should go *immediately* to the WW2 memorial and carry and give out free wire cutters! Let’s see if the goons keeping the patriotic old soldiers out have the gall to try and arrest these high-profile politicians. Even if they do… The MSM won’t be able to cover this up and the LIVs might finally catch a clue when they see Obama’s goons beating up or dragging off veteran soldiers just because they can!

Levin… You promised to call up the troops as it were… I think it’s time to sound the bugle and gather forces.

  • sjmom

All Obama is doing is signing his party’s political obituary because if Democrats do not speak up on this disgraceful act turn them over because they’re DONE!

If you really want to see the people’s wrath and God’s upon your head this is one of the best ways to accomplish it. Yes, I said and God’s and I meant it because this IS definitely unrighteous.

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,” Rom. 1: 18

    • Snow Mann

Sad to say it but the democrats don’t care no matter how they bluster. There minions will continue to support obama. Why? No character, no heart, and no common sense. Remember, htis is thet party that booed God.

Rush just had a caller on that made a good point. He suggested Reid acted like a death panel when he said why would he put kids with cancer ahead of millions of other Americans (para). Rush said they are cherry picking…we will close this and this and open this….tyrants! Not law abiding Representatives!!!

    • http://wolfiehowls.com/ Wolfie

I saw a clip of Reid saying that this morning. If a Conservative made such a heartless, uncaring statement the MSM would be all over him or her calling them out with the “see… We told you these Conservatives are heartless soulless bastards that don’t give a damn about the children if they get in the way of their agenda”… But it’s Reid, so they’ll be a deafening silence instead.

    Lawlessness. Despotism. Tyranny. Sadism.
Obama wants Americans to bleed some more… trying to squeeze every ounce of agony and sensationalism out of this. He’s no President. He’s really not much of a man either. What a monster.
What’s cool about this is America is REALLY getting sick of this bastard’s silly games and stale tactics. Americans are waking up and this is not going to end well for these tyrants.

I know he thinks this is helping him, but all it does is show to some that have not paid attention what a dangerous, stupid, jerk he really is. Word out from Hannity this afternoon is that the Park Service people were told to inflict as much pain as possible. Some are embracing this, but some are revolted by it. Funny how Obama can manage to come up with enough cops to close down private businesses but he can’t seem to find enough of them to take care of Chicago Gangsta Punks, huh.

      • Press Watchusa

Good point – ‘specially for his buddy Ram the Mayor.

    • Galatiansch2vs20

I guess Obama might be getting ready to start calling the country U.S.S.A.

    • puma_for_life

I live near the area. Here is what is happening right now. The owner was on the radio a couple of hours ago saying that the rangers (that’s who is armed) said they can’t stop people from exercising their first amendment rights, so if you go up there, just say that’s what you are doing and you can get on the grounds. You cannot drive into the grounds, but you can park along the road and walk in. So, I was listening again later and a woman said she had gone up there and tried to get on the grounds. The first ranger said the inn was closed and no she couldn’t. Then, she walked down to another ranger and he said we can’t stop someone from exercising their first amendment rights and she walked in.

Then, just about 20 minutes ago the owner was back on the radio. He said the inn is closed (again) and he didn’t want to encourage people to get in trouble and that he had been in conversation with congress people (our congressman is Mark Meadows and he is one of us!) and park officials and he was hopeful there would be a positive outcome. Now, he didn’t say don’t come, but I think he was trying to protect himself and I guess I don’t blame him, but he keeps giving mixed signals.

Alot of people were/are planning on going up there tomorrow. The weather is absolutely beautiful and I plan on hiking Mount Pisgah, which is just down the road from the inn, and then going over there to exercise my first amendment rights.

But, there actually is another way to walk onto the property from the Mount Pisgah parking lot; only about 1/2 – 1 mile through the woods and I bet the rangers haven’t thought of that yet; hopefully they don’t read this blog. It’s possible there will be cars lined all up and down the parkway. Great day to celebrate our first amendment!

      • Press Watchusa

        GREAT info !

How much you want to bet that the owner will be receiving a visit from the IRS this year?

flippin’ peachy . I would like to see a WWII vet get arrested for cutting the wire . I believe at that point that Levin’s numbers will be too small as to how many people come to D.C. in protest . I WILL be there . Enough , simply enough .
Arrest me , beat me , just stop lying to me . Someone needs to check……..did Obama teach Banana Republic 101 ?

  • lawngren

Not a problem. There are Lowe’s Home Improvement stores everywhere. Or maybe Ace Hardware, depending on where your memorial is.

The problem is going to occur when the obama regime sends actual troops to stop the good guys.

      • tinlizzieowner

I certainly hope Levin will back up his strong words with his feet. He should be doing a ‘remote’ show, from the WW2 monument personally. The sooner, the better.

“If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.” ― Samuel Adams

  • Samwise007

“The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.” ― Samuel Adams

    • Time4Offense

To shrink back now would be cowardice and national suicide. I’m all in.

  • puma_for_life

I heard on the radio that the vets did get in again with the help of dem and gop congresspeople. Anyone have any info?

  • BaldingEagle25

Can someone explain why this is a big deal? Haven’t been following closely, but doesn’t gov shutdown mean things close down? Hannity featured a bunch of folks negatively and in some cases unfairly impacted by the shut down, but it seems like monuments fall into the nonessential category, or am I missing something?

    • waffle_anna

The monuments are privately funded – the White House ordered these to be shut down. Obama is holding the veterans and the American people hostage to shove Obamacare down their throats.

    • OneThinDime

This is an open air memorial that is NEVER closed. Obama had the gates and chains brought in to punish our veterans. The memorial was paid for with PRIVATE money and PRIVATE money is raised and used to maintain it.

    • Bill Benge

And other national treasures like Mt. Vernon, that are PRIVATELY funded have been shut down by a government who does not own using our tax dollars to buy zip ties and pay people to stand guard at these posts. That is what the big deal is. Those memorials are privately funded.

    • tinlizzieowner

No, you are ‘essentially’ correct. BUT, there is a lot more going on here than just ‘Chapter and Verse’. There is absolutely NO good reason to be closing the D-Day Cemetery in a foreign country, except for the fact that he ‘technically’ can. The same thing goes for closing anything that has even the most flimsy ‘affiliation’ with the Park Service.
This is not going to go well for him and his ‘focus group’ isn’t apparently bright enough to understand that, (yet). ;-)

    • puma_for_life

He’s closing down monuments in which there is no expense to keep open and private business operating on federal land which are actually bringing money into the government through their businesses. And it is obviously intended to make the people blame the GOP. I don’t. I blame Obama and the Fox survey showed that just as many people blame Obama as blame Boehner.l

  • Bill Benge

Can anyone confirm or deny factually if Arlington National Cemetery has been closed off too?

    • OneThinDime

      Been seeing reports each way.

  • Bill Benge

There are not enough jail cells in Virginia & Maryland that could easily take in another 1 million inmates. I think the time to act is now.

    • Theresa Rickman

I have an idea somewhere in-between all 500,000 of us storming the capitol and opening the monuments with our sheer volumes and not doing anything…
my mom is a WWII Vet – AF, so is my step father. I would bet there are hundreds of WWII vets here in the DC area. So we call out to them, setup a schedule, and always have one of them there with family. I just called my mom in Florida and asked her if she was game. She’s still one feisty lady and she’s willing to help.

  • Bill Benge

“In this present crisis, government is not the solution to the problem, government is the problem.”—Ronald Reagan

    • kong1967

Wouldn’t it be awesome to see Ronald Reagan and Obama on stage together discussing what’s currently going on? I could just see the disgust in Reagan’s face as he looked at Obama. Man vs. child.

      • tinlizzieowner

        You mean like this? ;-)

        • kong1967

Lol, those are great clips. Somehow I don’t think Reagan could approach Obama in a joking manner. I think he would have so much disdain for the anti-American behavior and treatment of us like we are his servants and we need to be whipped into shape.

However he approached it, his “on the spot” extemporaneous responses would eat Obama’s “uh, um, give me a second to hear myself think” for lunch. Reagan spoke from the heart, while Obama speaks from the teleprompter.

Reagan is my all time hero. No one even comes close to matching him.

          • Bill Benge

Then you will like this piece from Ronald Reagan:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QK3Eo9cScEQ

            • kong1967

              Yes, I love it.

          • tinlizzieowner

“Reagan is my all time hero. No one even comes close to matching him.”
            That’s a fact.

            • kong1967

If I was in the military, Reagan would be someone I could proudly serve for (as the leader of our great nation), and Allen West would be someone I would want to lead me into battle.

I couldn’t imagine serving under Obama. Pathetic piece of anti-American trash.

              • tinlizzieowner

Unfortunately, I was in the military during ‘Johnson’s War’. :-(
Just for the record, no soldier is obligated to obey ‘An Unlawful Order”. Of course, proving ‘an unlawful order’, is the trick part. ;-)

                • kong1967

I wouldn’t fault any soldier for carrying out orders. I had a hard time accepting when one of the guards at Hitler’s camps was brought here for trial (very old man). I’m sure many of those people did not like or want to do what they did, but if they didn’t want their entire family to be snuffed they followed orders.

Thankfully, in the United States our soldiers do not face that kind of threat.

                • tinlizzieowner

WW2 German soldiers swore an oath directly to Adolph Hitler, civil servants did too.
Kind of like the krap coming out of movie stars mouth’s recently for Barack Obama.

                • kong1967

The movie star idolatry is appalling. Obama is no king and he’s certainly no god.

So are you saying the German soldiers willingly dug trenches and buried alive masses of Jews without being forced? I’ve heard stories where it tore them up to do it but they were under great fear of not following orders.

                • tinlizzieowner

No, what I am saying they took an oath to Adolph Hitler ‘Directly’ and to violate anything he said, or even to speak of him in an unfavorable manner, was a death sentence, right up to his highest Generals and family members.
                  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reichswehreid
There’s an oath for ‘civil servants’ too. I’m not going to try to find that one right now, I’m in the middle of a Pizza. ;-) ;-)

                • kong1967

Ah, ok…..I gotcha. The only parallel you were making to the movie stars was the oath directly to the leader. The movie stars do it from idolatry, but the German soldiers had no choice.

                • tinlizzieowner

‘WE’ pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic, for which it stands …..
The Germans pledged allegiance to Adolph Hitler ‘and’ the country ‘he’ ruled’ (in that order).
The barking moon bats in that commercial were pledging allegiance, in the Hitler manner, to an individual, not having a clue that it was the free thinking entertainers, the ‘intellectuals’ and the Homosexuals who went to the concentration camps first, as Hitler was consolidating his power, in the late 30’s.
                  ;-) ;-)

                • kong1967

We don’t all pledge allegiance to the flag. Some people were pledging allegiance to the flag with Obama’s picture on it, and others were pledging directly to Obama’s picture while the flag was to their right (being ignored).

                  Morons.

                • tinlizzieowner

‘WE’ (you, I and normal people). ;-) ;-)

                • tinlizzieowner

No, what I am saying is that is that they swore an oath ‘directly’ to Adolph Hitler (not the country) and violate that oath, or to even speak unfavorably about Hitler, was a death sentence for the violator as well as possibly family members.

                  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitler_oath

Before you think I’m a Nazi sympathizer, let me clarify.

If you were a pilot and you were ordered to shoot down an Israeli jet, you would have moral conflicts and wouldn’t want to do it, but if you don’t you will face court martial. Maybe you could accept that so you could live with yourself. But if you also knew they’d butcher your kids, parents and siblings if you didn’t shoot down the jet, you would probably shoot down the jet.

At least here in the United States you have the law on your side, but…as you said…you have to prove it was an “unlawful order”. They also won’t kill your family if you don’t obey orders.

                • tinlizzieowner

                  I know what you’re saying.

    • tinlizzieowner

As far as I know, yes it is. If he wasn’t our first (half) Black President, Sharpton, Jackson, CORE, the NAACP and the ‘media’ would be screaming their brains out about that, right now.
You notice I didn’t say it has barricades completely circling it with ‘police tape’ and wire holding the barricades together, though. ;-) ;-)

  • Bill Benge

“We the People” were promised swift and effective action towards getting
the markets repaired by President Obama, but they have dropped about
1400 points each week since he’s taken power. “We the People” were
promised greater fiscal responsibility by candidate Obama, yet his own
proposals throw us down a black hole of debt, the likes of which we’ve
never seen in a single year of an administration, much less in the first
sixty days of one. “We the People” were promised the greatest
commitment ever to oversight of the federal use of the money we send the
government. What we’ve been handed is a series of embarrassing
nominations of people who are willing to use the force of a gun to make
you pay your taxes, but did not think twice about not paying theirs. “We
the People” were told that his push for a stimulus would get people
working again, yet barely 3% of it goes to actual job creation and
projects that can even be initiated in the next 24 months. “We the
People” were promised greater employment fulfillment and more vibrant
business and economic outlooks when Obama’s administration finally put
together their plan to save the lending institutions. What we are
dealing with is a greater spike in the unemployment numbers in Obama’s
first sixty days than was experienced under President Bush in his first
seven years. “We the People” were promised an earmark free, pork free,
bare bones budget, but as of last count Obama’s omnibus bill contained
    9200 earmarks.

    • tinlizzieowner

      “The fact
that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign
of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay
its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial
assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless
fiscal policies. Increasing America ‘s debt weakens us domestically and
internationally. Leadership means that, ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead,
Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of
our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure
      of leadership. Americans deserve better.”
      Sen, Barack Obama 2006.
Will the real Barack Obama, (if there is one), please stand up. ;-) ;-)

      • Nukeman60

I believe that statement was made before Valerie programmed the teleprompter. If we even had a real Mainstream media, they would throw that in Barry’s face and flat out ask him – well, which is it? Do you believe you have leadership failure or not? You can’t have it both ways, depending on who’s in the Oval Office (but then all politicians do that, speak from both sides of their mouths. That’s what makes them all lying scumbags).

    • badbadlibs

In other words, o bama and his entire administration are shameless LIARS.

  • kong1967

Obama is shutting down parks that receive no federal funding under the premise that the funding was cut off during the government shutdown. Hmmmm, hard to cut off zero federal dollars.

Yet, we are to blame because we shouldn’t have pi**ed off the man-child and caused him to react in a hateful and retaliatory manner? Uh, when is the media and the public going to start holding Obama accountable for his own actions? He didn’t have to do any of this.

    • JohnCraven

kong1967, if you wanted to declare Martial Law so you could have it your way all the time, wouldn’t you be doing these exact same things like what Nero Obama’s doing with shutting down so much that doesn’t need to be shut down so as to provoke a hostile reaction from the public so that it would give you the pretext to declare Martial Law?
      John Craven

Did Valerie Jarrett authorize Nero Obama to put the BARACKades back up?

Does Senator Hillary Landrieu support Nero Obama putting up BARACKades around the D-Day Museum here in New Orleans? I’ve not heard her say anything against the BARACKading of the WWII Monument so I would think she would also like to see our great D-DAy Museum BARACKaded as well.

Please support Robert Maness for the GOP nomination to defeat Hillary Landrieu for Senate! He’s an air force veteran and a great guy. He’s had the support of Ted Cruz too!

Also Elbert Guillory to run for Senate against Mary Landrieu…

      • JohnCraven

waffle_anna, I’d really like to see Elbert Guillory be the next governor of the great state of Louisiana and Robert Maness be it’s next US Senator – they are both cut from the same conservative cloth.

I heard he’s considering a run for governor..

          • JohnCraven

I sure hope so waffle_anna. I’ve listened and watched all thes speeches that Senator Elbert Guillory has given which have been posted here and I really think he’d be a very inspiring chief executive for Louisiana.

A lady who runs the greater New Orleans TEA Party and who supports Robert Maness’ bid to unseat US Sen. Hillary Landrieu told me something about Karl Rove trying to recruit Sen. Guillory to run against Landrieu even though Karl Rove backs another GOP candidate, Rep. Bill Cassidy’s bid to unseat Landrieu. Rep. Cassidy is a decent man but he seems to wait to do what the Big Whigs in the GOP want him to do instead of taking it to Landrieu on issue after issue after issue which is what Maness has done. And apparently, Ted Cruz has made a number of appearances with Maness so I find that encouraging about his candidacy.

I think Rove is trying to divide the TEA Party vote and I think Senator Guillory suspects something awry judging by the last speech of his posted here on The Right Scoop in which he raises a lot of questions about the GOP leadership which we have been raising here too.

Anyway, I sure hope you are right about Sen. Guillory.

The only talking the Dems are doing is vile trash talking about Cons…when it comes to speaking up for their constituents and American people they are silent…fearful of speaking against the Dear Leader.

      • JohnCraven

Today, I decided to go to the D-Day Museum here in downtown New Orleans right by the Crescent City Connection- the bridge that connects east and west banks of the Mighty Mississippi. Nero Obama hasn’t gotten around to shutting it down yet but I’m certain he’s looking in to it. It was my way of silently protesting Nero Obama’s closing of the WWII Memorial in Washington just to be mean to the WWII vets who have been coming there in the final days or weeks of their lives.
One of the things that greets you outside the Museum is a piece of the World Trade Center girders which Nero Obama’s buddies in the global jihad brought down.
As you enter the museum, you are welcomed by one of the ubiquitious landing crafts with the front ramp which you have seen countless GI’s run down on to the beachhead in all the theatres of World War II. These landing crafts were also known as Higgins boats after their builder and designer, Andrew Higgins, and every single one of the thousands which were used in WWII to land on the beaches of Normandy and throughout the Pacific were built here in New Orleans – every single one of them.
It is an impressive museum and also a theatre where a movie narated by Tom Hanks – a big supporter of the museum – is shown.
In the Pacific wing of the museum you are introduced to the origin of the conflict which began first with Japan invading Manchuria. Germany – the other of the three partners in the Axis – entered WWII a few years. We did not enter it until December 7, 1941, when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.
In the immediate aftermath of Pearl Harbor, for several months, we were taking a beating by the Japanese and their ally Germany but In the Pacific it was the Japanese who were cleaning our clocks.
The low point was when we surrendered The Phillipines in early April 1942.
Yet, right after the surrender of The Philipines came a mission ordered by the Commander-in-chief, Roosevelt, which boosted the morale of our entire nation – the Doolittle Raid on Tokyo. My family knows a lot about that mission – a one-way mission – because my cousin was one of the Doolittle Raiders and his flight jacket, the one he wore when he bailed out over China in a blinding rainstorm in the dead of night, is preserved at the museum along with his dog tag and insignia.
The vets who went to the WWII Memorial in Washington – only to be spat upon by Nero Obama – our sorry example of a commander-in-chief – are an inspiration to me as much as my cousin was.
I hope we will replace our sorry example of a US senator, Hillary Landrieu – at the next election for, if nothing else, not having the courage to condemn Nero Obama for putting up BARACKades to our WWII vets who come to see their memorial in Washington or anywhere else inculding the D-Day cemeteries in France. She needs to go.

        • sallyjohanna

Thank you for relaying your story. I am sure you and your family are very proud of your cousin and his heroism. “Thirty Seconds over Tokyo” a favorite classic of mine. The media have given a pass to the Democrat Senators, not one stood for their constituents they represent. It should be obvious they are betraying their oaths to the Constitution and the people. We are in a constant state of flabbergast at their disregard, it is maddening! God bless you and yours!

          • JohnCraven

The media is supposed to be the “fourth estate” and report truthfully and fairly on the events of the day and not assist in picking winners and losers simply because of their leftist prejudices but as we are all too well aware the lamestream media is amongst the most biased there is.
When I was in the D-Day Museum here, there is a short overview film of the events in the Pacific which led up to Pearl Harbor. And there is a poster of Dorey Miller, I’m not sure if I’m spelling his name correctly, I should have written it down, who was the black US sailor who was serving as a cook, I think, on board the USS Nevada at the time of Pearl Harbor, who went up on the deck and manned an anti-aircraft machine gun and is credited with shooting down two Japanese planes for which he won the Navy Cross but he later died in the sinking of the USS Linscombe I think it was in 1943.
What Nero Obama did in shutting off the WWII Memorials and the US cemeteries is a slap in the face of this great hero and countless others. When you walk along the sidewalks towards the D-Day Museum, you notice they are filled with bricks inscribed with the names of WWII veterans and it’s very emotional to see all those names.
Well I get the same way when I see my cousin’s flight jacket, the one he wore on the Doolittle Raid and I happened to point out to a couple of ladies who were there that the man in the photo was my cousin and they said the same thing that we must be very proud and we are just like all those family members who put down bricks with the names of WWII veterans on them all along the sidewalks around the museum. They asked me if he was still alive and I told them no, he died in 2001, 3 days after attending my parents’ 50 wedding anniversary and a week or so before he was scheduled to appear at the opening of the Pacific Wing of the D-Day museum which included his photo and jacket. He was scheduled to be a panelist but his heart gave out. I think he was 84 at the time. I started to choke up when I thought about and I couldn’t talk to them any more. His name was Robert Clark Bourgeois, my cousin on my mom’s side of the family. His flight crew was #13 – “Lucky 13″ they called it. We, of course, attended his funeral with full military honors on behalf of a grateful nation.
It’s disheartening to have a president constantly dishonoring the memory of so many men and women who served our country with honor and distinction.
Nero Obama can find the spine to stand up to 90 year old veterans in wheel chairs for daring to show up at their own monument by having a hissy fit of a snit but he can’t find one ounce of courage to stand up to Putin and Assad.
            John Craven
            New Orleans
P.s… I, of course, loved “90 Seconds Over Tokyo” with Van Johnson and I think it was Spencer Tracy who played Col. Doolittle.

            • sallyjohanna

Thank you for telling me the story of Mr. Miller. Telling the story of his moment of courage and that of your cousin Mr. Bourgeois helps keep an important legacy alive. I am a huge fan of the classics, and for a girl, a huge fan of WWII movies. Mostly because they represent our history and they are a teaching tool. I have a great appreciation for all our Veterans and our Soldiers serving us now.

My Mother and Father sides were either too old or young to serve in WWII, my husband’s Uncles were in the Pacific and Europe. One important trait they seem to share was humility and a humble reserve about talking about their service, I had a neighbor, an elderly gentlemen absolutely fastidious, that I use to enjoy chatting with over the fence….it wasn’t until we were moving that I learned he had landed on the beaches on D-Day..he was a mechanic that was servicing the landing craft. I wish I had known earlier!

The thing that disturbs me most about what Obama, Reid and the Democrat Representatives are doing, is inflicting pain on the American citizens and Vets for political gain. Like a strategic game, so they can blame the other party, for what THEY are doing. They are not fit to wipe the boots of our Veterans. The shutting of the Memorials has been a huge mistake….it is so obvious, that it is a lowdown, petty, mean spirited attempt to deliver a blow to the GOP. Obama will stoop to the lowest levels to get what he wants.
              That’s what tyrants do!

              • JohnCraven

sallyjohanna, you are very correct in that all of these veterans shared a common humility and humbleness in talking about their service, including my cousin, even though it was hard for him not to since his mission was that big a deal back during WWII. He was a very unassuming guy but he knew people were always interested in the story of the Doolittle Raiders so he happily talked about it.

But most veterans aren’t in that position and keep a lot to themselves like your next door neighbor who serviced the landing crafts for D-Day. And all of them were made down here at Andrew Higgins boat facility.

I appreciate your kind words about the veterans and am happy to hear you like to hear about their stories.

The Honor Flight Network has been providing tours to the WWII Memorial for our WWII Veterans for the past few months and into the next few months. See: http://www.honorflight.org/tour/ This is a big deal – there’s a lot of logistics and planning involved to group together these people, fly them to D.C. and take them on the tour of the WWII Memorial. It is outright blatant disrespect to these veterans to block them out, first with barricades and now with wired barricades. What next? Throw them in jail when they enter the memorial like the previous veterans have in the past few days? Most of these heroes are in their 80’s and this is a great honor to them to see this memorial dedicated to their service. Many of us may know someone who is on the Honor Flight and scheduled to tour it, we can’t allow this to happen!

The great one is in CA this weekend. Sadly, I have come to the conclusion he talks a good game, but that is all it is, talk. Just like the rest of them. Cruz was on Greta tonight. Why didn’t he remove the barriers himself. Jason Chaffetz the same, Greta asked him why he did nothing. As usual, no answer but to blame the other guy.

Forgive me for asking – but why do you need leaders?
Why do you need Mark Levin to go there himself, why do you need Sen Cruz or Rep Chaffetz to do it?
Why do you not go and do it yourself?

        • TopTC

I understand your point, but it’s not about the “leader” necessarily being there. It’s just that when a very visible person calls for the action, the result is that a great many more folks hear the message and report for duty, with much greater results.

      • poopjuice

Because Cruz can’t do his job if he’s in jail and he knows that is exactly what the dems are hoping will happen. Doing this to vet’s is absolutely disgusting. The GOP offered to PAY to keep these memorials open while this stupid childish behavior is being perpetrated on the American people (and people who just pretend they are American) by the stubborn, negative and arrogant dems, but 0bama said no. Just like he said no to keeping the NIH open for childhood cancer patients.

just how long will it be before the goons actually try to block them from entering? We don’t need politicians or radio personalities doing what we (the american people) should be doing ourselves which is standing up, speaking out in mass…get involved.

That’s one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen. There are some things you just don’t do. Our president should be ashamed of himself.

    • rick dalton

Our president didn’t shut the government down did he try the tea bagger congress how it feel to be blackmail by the people you elected. Your throat bleeding from being cut by them and their lies

      • you asked

Rick, he isn’t even willing to discuss or compromise, so many do blame the President for the shutdown. He acts like a spoiled child & instead of thinking what ALL Americans he wants, he throws a fit & refuses to even discuss issues with anyone except Reid, Pelosi, etc. If he makes poor decisions that cost fellow Americans their lives, what does he do? He covers it up. POTUS has done more damage to our country than any other President EVER.

        • rick dalton

He don’t have to read article I section 7 of the constitution. It not his bills congress made them it money they done spent . Far as Americans blaming the president think you made want to look at the poles it laid in the republicans lap not his. You also made want to look at the constitution to see who has the power to shut down government it not the president it the house. I really didn’t see anything in the constitution that said he had to give them goodies as Paul Ryan said for doing what the constitution require them to do that to pay their bills. Think you fine the majority of the America people think it the republicans and tea party who acting like little spoil kids as you put it. What decision he made that cost anyone life? You will also find only 39 percent of the America people thinks that ACA should be repeal. That leaves 61 percent of Americans. Sorry but the needs of the many out weight the needs of the few. How your throat feel after being cut by the Koch brothers puppet Ted Cuz?

          • you asked

I have read the “polls” not ‘poles’ & Obama is dropping faster than a rock. Just because you want to always blame the Tea Party or Republicans, doesn’t mean the ‘majority’ of Americans do.

How come when Republicans wanted to meet with Democrats to discuss issues, not 1 Democrat showed up? Every time the Republicans offered a compromise it was Obama who had to go on TV & throw a tantrum & say he wouldn’t compromise. That is what being a leader is all about. You don’t always get your way, but apparently Barry thinks he should. Since you are all for our POTUS, how come you blame things on Republicans or Tea Party, instead of asking Obama why he covers up his mistakes, like Benghazi, IRS scandal, etc.

            • rick dalton

You made want to re look at the Polls again you will fine the president did drop but it wasn’t like the rock the republicans and tea party did. They have the lowest rating ever in the history of the nation. You are a minority not a majority. You really are dense the democrats been trying to get them to committee for months republican and tea party refused. Now that they shut the government down they want to set in committee trying to hold this nation debt as hostage don’t think so they are in violation of Article 1 Section 7 of the constitution. Far as you republicans witch hunt sandals goes they blew up in the face of your party again a little research would have help you from looking silly with your remarks.

              • you asked

I didn’t say whether i was a Republican, Democrat, Tea Party or Independent. As far as calling me ‘you Republicans’ – I don’t vote strictly down party lines. I vote for who I think will do the best job for the country. I am proud to say that neither time did I vote for Obama.

It’s hard for anyone to vote with ‘you Democrats’ when all you do is block votes or fail to negotiate with anyone outside of the Democrat party. So far, I see nothing ‘Democratic’ about how the Democrats have handled anything in 8 years. I think you will have a rude awakening during the next elections, because it isn’t just Republicans, Tea Party members, Independents that are getting sick of this nonsense – many Democrats are jumping ship too.

                • rick dalton

You just like a tea bagger and a republican can’t tell the truth. far as you not voting for a great leader that your bad and lost.Democrats hasn’t done anything the last 8 yrs now that is funny. They Pass the ACA for the poor and middle class. Think you made really want to research to see who block and filibuster every bill that had anything to help get this nation back on it feet you find the tea party and republican at the front of that line. Far as 2014 goes think you will see a Democrat house and this nation will be will on it way to recover from the cesspool the tea party and conservatives wanted to keep it buried in. Republicans and tea party rating has drop so low they be lucky to hang on to any seats. The majority of the America people knows who try to destroyed this nation to bad you wear blinders and can’t be in the group. They are Democrats jumping ship now that real funny let me guess you get your info from Fox No news right lmao. Here a news flash for you it say nothing in the constitution about anyone having to negotiate for congress to pay their bills not our or the president but their bills they have already spent money on though bond that came due. Read article 1 section 7 then show me anywhere in it that say anyone has to negotiate with congress to get them to pay their bills. Seditious Conspiracy (18 U.S.C.& 2348)is a crime under United States Law.
