This morning in an Armed Services Committee hearing, Gen. Dempsey was asked if the United States was winning in Iraq. More specifically, he was asked if ‘we’ are winning in Iraq. Here is his response:
We are on path to deliver that which we’ve committed to deliver? Wow, what kind of mishmash statement is that? Also, I didn’t know the USPS was running our military operation. I guess we are really in the delivery business and not the ‘war’ business.
So, according to Dempsey, we are delivering the ‘capability to fight ISIS’. Yeah, that’s working out great and all because ISIS just stole a bunch of that ‘capability’ a few weeks ago when the Iraqi army ran away.
What a pathetic joke.
