‘Zimmerman didn’t need a gun, just a phone’ – CNN’s Toobin takes cue from Obama, makes case about CULTURE OF GUNS

CNN Legal Analyst Jeffrey Toobin took a cue directly from Obama’s statement today and tried to make the Zimmerman case about the ‘culture of guns,’ noting that Zimmerman didn’t need a gun, just a phone to call police.

When Anderson Cooper asked if it bothered anybody that Zimmerman was getting his gun back, CNN Legal Analyst Sunny Hostin said YES and argued that Zimmerman’s defense is being ‘cavalier’ by saying he needs his gun now more than ever because of the threats against his life. She says it shows a disconnect to the sensitivity of this case because Zimmerman was accused of doing the same thing that he now fears from others, taking the law into his own hands.

Toobin then went on and on about how the culture of guns has changed since the 60s, etc.
