Rep. Trent Franks frustrates LarryO on AZ shooting

This is why I watch LarryO’s new show on MSNBC. It’s the most sane show MSNBC has in primetime and LarryO also doesn’t mind bringing on Republicans who can stand up to his lefty blabberings. Case in point, this interview.

LarryO is hell bent on getting Franks to admit that it would have been better if Jared Loughner had not had a 31-bullet clip. But Franks isn’t playing that game and the first 2 times he answers the same question from LarryO he says that the only thing that should be blamed for the shooting is the man himself, not Sarah Palin, the Tea Party, or the clip. He adds that if law enforcement had been there much of the injury and death could have been prevented. At this point LarryO is starting to simmer as he gets into his self righteous mode trying to disqualify Frank’s argument. He argues that in most cases police officers have terrible aim and therefore that it would be irresponsible to rely solely on law enforcement.

No matter what Franks says, LarryO can only be satisfied if they agree that the clip should only have 10 bullets instead of 31. LarryO even says, as if to clarify, that he does in fact blame the shooter for the first 10 bullets but he blames the law for the other 21 that Loughner fired. But of course they never agree and LarryO has to end the segment without convincing another Republican that the extended clip was to blame.

This is the most entertaining segment I’ve seen on LarryO’s show since this one.

Enjoy!
