What struck me about this clip when I watched it this morning was how empathetic these hacks were over Obama being wrong about shovel-ready jobs. They begin by asking who got the stimulus jobs, to which Chuck Todd answered by making excuses for its poor implementation. It was either not enough money to do a WPA-style job creation program or the states were told to spend the money so fast that they didn’t have time to create the necessary jobs. Obama lying about the shovel-ready jobs never came up at all. Even if he wasn’t lying (and we know he was), it still never gets blamed on his incompetence. It was just that he miscalculated it or that he was wrong, but by no fault of his own.
Poor, poor Obama. Don’t you all just feel sorry for him?
There never were any real jobs that were created by the stimulus. It was just a big band-aid for the states that ran out and now the gaping chest wound of fiscal failure is exposed again, which is why the states are now either going bankrupt or cutting spending to try and fix their problems. Obama’s stimulus was a joke from the beginning and even with unemployment rates of 9.2% and growth rates of less than 1%, they MSM is still busy making excuses for him. This is why they simply can’t be trusted any more. And we know what they’d be saying if it were Bush.
