So I guess if you compare people who die without health insurance to the 6 million Jews who were put in ovens and slaughtered, then that makes you like Martin Luther!
I do find it quite humorous however, that so much credit is being given to the republicans when they don’t have any power in congress or the senate. Grayson made the ‘bullies’ back down, yet the public option is still not passing. We’ve seen this with Obama and other dems, and now Grayson – when they can’t stop fighting in their own party, they blame the republicans. I think Jon Stewart did a pretty good job of outlining the real problem here.
But what I find most interesting is Matthews assessment that the democrats haven’t been attacking the problem enough. Well, if he’s referring to the actual problems, he’s quite right. But I think he really means that they haven’t been beating republicans over the head with the sick and dying enough to win the argument. But that’s ALL they’ve been doing. Has he not been paying attention? We all know that the problem is that no one knows what the heck Obama is talking about with this health care plan. He can’t stop talking in platitudes and it’s clear that he doesn’t know what’s in the bill. And after a brutal August for the democrats, there are some quite uneasy about losing their careers.
